- How do you fold the Lectric XP 3.0 electric bike? Folding the Lectric XP 3.0 is easy but there are a few tips and tricks. I start by folding the pedals, removing or lowering the seat, lowering the handlebars, folding the handlebars, folding the bike in half, then strapping the two tires together. Also, to protect the frame, I used cable ties to attach the plastic shipping disk to the bottom of the bike.

Thanks for the tip on the foot peg making contact on the rotor. I haven't had to fold mine yet so I would have missed that. And I've kept that strap and the stand for re use too. I got my 2.0 last year but I got the 3.0 so I could take the wife as she can't ride anymore but can hang on just fine. I do notice the 3.0 motor is quieter and I installed the 11-28 gear on my 2.0 so I'm glad they did that. That premium headlight is a big improvement.
The premium headlight works well, but mine was hard to keep aimed straight over rough roads. I ended up breaking it off during an off-road test. I'll be repairing it and relocating it soon!
@@LectricGo yeah, I got the small basket for the front and I had to bend the bracket up or the headlight made contact with the wheel when braking hard. I may relocate it up on the basket. Sure puts out the light though. Definitely a big improvement over he standard light.
We’ll done- I was trying to figure how to release the latches- thank you!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the video. I live in NJ and today is the first nice day to take my bike out. Also thanks for the advice about the passenger pegs.
You're welcome! Hope you get some more nice days this winter.
I had thought of using the packing lower frame protector as well but stumbled onto the following.
On etsy they sell different colors for lower frame protectors.
The electric blue with matching zip ties looks nice on the white version XP3.0’s.
They also have a variety of other accessories.
Yeah I saw those after rigging up my own. It's working and it was free so I'm sticking too it for now 😀.
Love a quick and informative video. Thank You!
Thank you! I try to keep out any fluff on how to videos.
I would have liked to see the loading of the folded bike into the vehicle.

I like your hand shields. Where did you get them, from?
It looks easy 😀
It is easy with a bit of practice :)
You don't even need to remove the seat/lower handle bars the two folds do enough
Yes, especially when carrying in a hatchback or truck. But, removing the comfort seat, suspension seat post and passenger grab bar saves a bit of weight in high lift over vehicles and may help in tighter trunks.
As he says in the video.
Good info thanks
Glad you found it useful!
How do you lock it
To keep it from unfolding I use some velcro straps that came with the bike. To lock it for security I use the Lectric bike lock or a long bicycle cable lock.
Thanks for the video, Dude are you ok? Your breathing, you sound like your about to pass out?
Thanks for your concern :) Mic was too close to mouth. I've found sticking the mic on the outside of the chin bar works better!
Key left in or taken out? If key out won’t battery fall out when folded?
Key best taken out to fold. There is a middle position of the key where it can be removed. and lock pin still holds it in frame.
Really?
Affirmative.
