The commentator talked about how Caitlin spoke to the current team and reminded them to not "try to be us" (meaning her, Kate, Molly, Gabbie and Sharon) but to be themselves because they would/should find their own style, their own greatness as the next version of the Lady Hawkeyes WBB. Awesome to hear what Caitlin Clark said to this "new" squad. Was also great to see Kate in attendance... sitting in the 1st row somewhere in that arena.
first of all yeah great message. new team going on so leave the team they had early this year in the past. trying to be them isnt realistic. they should focus on the team they are now. the older players should especially not try to make that happen cause thats not fair to the rookies. itll make the new girls resent them. and about kate? i bet shell be at most games. shes got the time now that shes off and should be as well since she played almost every week for a year
The cringiest in the WNBA are the time off activities and music. Gosh it's a pain to watch. Luckily with the pass you don't have to watch it for their entirety

The only difference is that this team is not centered around just one person unlike with CC, Hana,Kate,Molly and Gabby were all incredible but they weren't given green light. Now this is how you go to a championship and win, every player feeling like without them a game is lost instead of them feeling like without one person the game is lost.
This was an off game shooting for Hannah. Wait till she really takes over. I feel she has upside at least as much as Caitlin. She really passed well and kept the flow going. Of course a different position. She will be better than Reese. She reminds me of Boston, only more explosive and faster. On the whole, this team looks like it will better at defense.
Stuelke and Olsen are ballers but I'm worried about the other players. I don't see any of the other players who can buy a bucket when the team needs it. If they're not making three's are they talented enough to slash to bucket or get by their player
You do realize that Syd is coming back from an Injury? O'Grady was awesome. Fuerbach's Defense was very good. There's a lot that was good that you missed. It's more than just scoring. Go back and watch.
@@wishbone1490 Ogrady was 9-9 in this game. Probably a bigger factor here was VT was held to 47 fewer points, while shooting percentage dropped drastically from their previous game.
Trust me. I watched the intensely and my eye test assessed that if some of the role players are not making open shots, can they create or playmaker to buy a bucket? I don't see it. Olsen is very gifted and can dribble. Stuklele has post moves and she's gaining more confidence with her jumper. I didn't see any other player jump off the screen. Everyone can shoot but when they need a bucket, I didn't see anyone else on the bench with the skillset to dribble or pass to make a bucket.@@concepcionortiz2898
