You could see her development last year. Much better footwork and playing under control. Jan Jensen is a miracle worker with post players. At 6'4", I can see Addison getting drafted and playing in the WNBA if she continues to play like she has so far.
I was not an Iowa fan but I watched #22 so much that I became a fan by knowing all the remaining players. Congrats to O'Grady. What an improvement. Followed Olson from Villanova.
Way to go Lady Hawks! Nice mix of scrappy Freshman and veterans pushing the paint. Nice complementary basketball on this year's team. Olsen is quickly becoming one of my favorite players, along with O'Grady who is outplaying Stuelke up to this point although Stuelke adds a speed dynamic in transition for a big that is a nice advantage. Sharp shooters like McCabe and Teagan's timely 3's are great. Big shoes to fill this season and they're doing it with great teamwork.

Iowa could cause some problems for some teams with their two post offense. If their top recruit 6'4" Ava Heiden can give some strong minutes later in the season, they could be a team you don't want to play in the tournament.
O'Grady's spent time conditioning herself in the off season! It shows on the floor! Past two years had me wondering if she had it in her! She's proven she does! Girls got game now!

I always believe Addison O'Grady was always good. She needed time to develop. Drake is always good and these rivalries has always help Drake and Northern Iowa. I love these rivalries it has the State of Iowa.
Many of these ladies NEED to learn to use the backboard for short range and close up shots. Especially when under duress. I am so sick of seeing shots hit the back of the rim because a player does not have the TOUCH to perfectly shoot it through. Put some sauce on it and go for the back board and it will go in. Just dont make it half backboard and half perfect touch, It will bounce out. Even the guys do it. But they are a little better with the fine touch when under duress because of height and strength. If you go for the backboard purposely, you remove one of the two elements of shot making. Now you just focus on aim and not aim and fine touch.
@@davidprice6902 they definitely have potential; I do appreciate the more balanced scoring and the deeper bench. The 3pt shooting has been lacking though, but once they start hitting those, they will be tough to beat with that inside game
