Sitting at work, about a mile from Cayce's Hopkinsville home and less than three from his grave. Cannot believe how many are unaware of this man. Nothing contradictive with the Bible. This video is of the same hope that Christ taught. Its so easy to lose your true identity by thinking you are a body.

My meeting Edgar Cayce story. It was the late 1960's and I was a young man asking lots of questions about life ...why is this happening to me etc. I actually overdosed on sleeping pills. One day I was walking to the local mall to hook up with my friends. As I was walking past the bookstore in the mall; I was mysteriously pulled into the store. I had no plans to do that. You would never find me in a bookstore. I left school at 13 years old in grade 8...I hated reading books; page after page of words words; so the last place you would find me is in a bookstore.
I was directed by this mysterious force to a certain aisle ...turn here...turn there and now... face this bookcase. I was directed to a certain book at eye level. The book was by a man I never heard of ...Edgar Cayce. The book; Mystery Man of Miracles. I read the front and back covers and was intrigued. I bought the book. Instead of going on as planned to meet my friends; I ended up home and began reading the book. It changed my life. I would like to think it was Edgar that guided me to his book. I couldn't stop and read it cover to cover. A short while later I began having "experiences." I could read minds...touch people and take away their pain. and more. In a few days I will turn 75 years old. It has been a tough journey. I thank the Cayce material for getting me through it.

This choice of incarnation induces a lot of what can happen on your life's journey ... plus of course all the challenges that you will accept or refuse, the people you meet that you will help and/or who will help you and so on and so forth ... I agree with your statement fully Ken, but i guess it applies when someone is enlightened, and it is not the majority, far from that ! Blessings and good thoughts to all of you. Chris.

Edgar Cayce's work was gamechanging for me. Reincarnation was the most eyeopening concept for me to accept and I searched other sources to finally accept this as a fact. A certified psychiatrist used hypnotic regression to help his patients understand their current conditions and achieved success. See the book "Many Lives, Many Masters" by Brian Weiss for a good exposure that makes sense.

Your introduction resonates so much with me. Instead of Mr. Cayce, I found Allan Kardec’s work. He wasn’t a psychic but codified the responses of psychics (and their guides) in the late 1800s. My faith was restored in Christianity. Life eternal, reincarnation, humanity, Jesus’ teachings, morality, philosophy and the advancement of our souls.
Mr. Kardec and Mr. Cayce have changed my life.

I came from very difficult family.
Both of my parents had issues. 😉🤣
They didn’t know how to love or properly show their love.
Father came from the orphanage , mom from abusive family.
Non of them could brake the pattern of their past .
Father was neglective , mother verbally and physically abusive.
I often thought as a kid : Way would God put me in this crazy family and make me the only child ?
I also compare them to other friends parents and I was simply jealous.
From the very beginning, I also new , I’m not going to repeat their mistakes and made myself many promises for the future.
They hurt me often very deeply but each time I tried to understand them . Took that guilt on me and moved on .
In my child’s heart, I had that deep love for them , and I try to concentrate on the good that was in them.
I didn’t complain much , took the abuse, neglect, emotional harassment for long time ( even now sometimes mom has her moments)
By saying that , I came very early to the conclusion, that emotionally, I am ahead of them and God put me in this home probably to help them.
Then I thought about and an other idea came to my head . God a not crural , so probably it was my soul that choose to be there to help them.
When my daughter was born I was confident that I was right. She came with many health issues and for sure she knew we would be able to give her love, care and attention that she deserved.
I must say thank you to my parents because by behaving in this strange way , they brought me to the higher understanding of God and our place in universe.

We were created for the creator to learn about itself and evolve. Polarity had to exist. It's a trip thinking of a point where the creator just was before splitting it's awareness into us and the universe we experience today. I am probably not communicating my thoughts well.

    • @Shmyrk
      @Shmyrk 3 года назад +2

@@kirkryanbrandon836 I feel that it was (Is) all One, and then the One became Concious(ness), and perceived itself. And, in perceiving itself, felt it was perceiving “another” (because, in polarity, there must be 2, in order to be aware of 1) , which then spurred the illusion of infinite separation. Or, “The Big Bang”. Once polarity is actualized it seems it would spiral on and on, within itself.
Another way I think of this is that The Source of All Creation IS ONE CONSCIOUSNESS and, in gaining awareness of Self, felt alone (All One). This desire for Another (in the Source of All Creation) instantly Manifests in Separation/Duality/Polarity. For, in order for the Source to become Self Aware, there must be also something that is not Self. (Which is of course an Illusion, because All is One.)
Lol pardon my rambling. I get excited when someone else seems to speak the language. I totally followed what you were saying.

    • @marsco843

Indeed the totality of consciousness. We have the spark of pure Creation and the Eternal Creator within us. We are the Creator experiencing himself subjectively and individually through an infinite universe and an infinite amount of probability.

Karma is the cycle of cause and effect. The cycle of cause and effect is the result of energy released by thought word or deed.
The only way to effect karma is by getting in front of the action taken before it gets to the target. 🙏

I don't necessarily believe in life before birth, but I've always had a first memory since I was a baby I guess, of being somewhere looking down what looked like a well, looking at my mom who looked to be around 16 or so and telling some man in a white robe who was next to me saying to him yes that's her she's the one I want for a mom. I want her to be my mom. I know the bricks/rocks that made the well were soft like pillows. And there were others around me in white robes too. But I remember picking out my mom. I later in life seen pics of my mom when she was 15 and 16 and she looked exactly the way I had remembered seeing her when I looked down that well at her. Ain't that crazy..

Actually there is life before here. This is not my first life. But as Buddhism Buddha told us no one can find the beginning of the life or world. There is no beginning of the life. Our limited knowledge no one can find it. Don’t worry about where do we come form but you must think about tomorrow. Your tomorrow is your today. Same way your next life also depends on your this life. Therefore do good deeds ( good Kamma)
Then if there’s a next life no need to worry about it.

I worked with girl who for last several years felt like a wall-flower around her family. I asked her how often she saw her family and her response was only the major holidays. So I asked her to write down on paper who she spends time with and estimate how many hours week/year. When she did that it became clear to both of us her time with family represented lowest time spent (24 hours for year to be exact). She spent about 3,000 hrs with her spouse (they ran part time business together) and about 1,200 hours with co-workers. I explained that she was holding herself back by trying to live in the past (recapturing glory days when she was younger with her family). I recommended she instead focus on the Now and develop her own meditation, breathing times and pick specific quality time activities at home with spouse and being present with co-workers. It changed her life in a big way and she moved on from worrying about trying to figure out why she no longer felt connected with her family. She said it would have caused tremendous turmoil with family confronting each of them for why things changed. So in that sense I disagree with Mr. Cayce in that some things are best left alone and a more productive focus should be pointed on what is in front of you and give all of your energy and love to that.

    • @soulcontactwithpeterwoodbury
      @soulcontactwithpeterwoodbury  5 лет назад +2

Carl, That's a great story. I can't say if Cayce would agree or disagree, but the proof is in the pudding, or we judge a tree by the fruits. What you directed her towards brought her more joy and peace, the fruits of the spirit. But say it hadn't. Say her peace remained illusive. Then I think the issues would need to be revisited. Cayce gave instances where an individual had a lifework of karma to address with his family. Another was told that there was no karma and he would be moving completely past his family. So I wouldn't say one size fits all. Sometimes we have to try things and see what works. And Cayce also said that what is good for one person, might be poison to another. Anyway, I'm repeating myself. I would also add that people are guided to work with the people that have what it takes to help them. I would hazard a guess that folks are coming to you to release family guilt and attachments. They might be led to someone else to do another type of work.
I really appreciate your feedback. I think you are doing awesome work! Thank you for taking the time to write me. Please keep in touch.

I love your teaching on this, I subbed, I definitely want to learn more on Cayce's views...Thank you so much for sharing these...I think I might like to have a past life regression but I have no idea where to find the hypnotist? In my research I found out that religions are not historical or literal, what I found out about Christianity, is it is mostly mythos and allegory based a lot on astrotheology and wise sayings from many sources. We really do all have the Christ within each of us, some call it the higher self.

Anyone agree that the period between lives, when memories are locked away, when there is no 5 sense experience, no space and no time.... AN EXPERIENCE OF ETERNITY, if you will. Our origin and our destiny, Alpha and Omega come.

Well, Charles Thomas started a graduate school of psychotherapy at the ARE, training psychotherapists and thereby making the ARE partly (if not largely) dependent on the psychotherapy industry and the surrounding society that allows this to be a profitable industry.
And then Covid-19 came along and started changing the surrounding society. Changing it in a way that’s calls into question how much longer the ARE can continue operating a school of psychotherapy.
And so why is this happening?
First of all, perhaps Edgar Cayce didn’t do what he did so his descendants could run a profitable “non-profit” psychotherapy college. Maybe it was done for a higher injunction than that.
Thing is, when you do psychotherapy, the idea is you’re taking a person who has problems meeting various expectations in the surrounding society, and so you either give them mental tools by which to meet these expectations, or mental tools to help them cope with the impossibility of meeting them.
What it does not do is anything to encourage the individual to oppose injustices, regardless of however blatant these injustices are, regardless of however many people’s lives are compromised in large or small fashion as a result. There is not, never has been, and never will be a psychotherapist who helps his patient become like Jefferson Smith in “Mister Smith Goes To Washington”.
And so this creates a moral dilemma. And that dilemma is the psychotherapist and whatever school trains such persons is condoning the greater society regardless of however immoral it is. They are “neutralizing” the would-be revolutionaries who would, either through intellectual or physical force (or both), create a more dignified and upright society. They are transforming would-be Thomas Jeffersons into King George III’s.
And I’ve never heard anyone from the ARE address this dilemma. Not in the 27 years I’ve interacted with that organization.
And even with this Covid-19 posing an existential threat to the ARE itself I am still not hearing an answer.
Thing is, as the discontent rises, people don’t want therapy-rather, they want changes in the civil order. They don’t want people telling them they were something great 5,000 years ago-they want to take action in this lifetime. And that’s how it should be (as is mentioned in There Is A River).
And there are other complaints I can make about this organization, but by far my biggest is that it encourages civil stagnation. Not that the readings encourage such stagnation, but rather, they way they have been used by the ARE is what encourages it.
And it doesn’t even matter if the bulk of the therapy patients are cat ladies over 60 who weren’t going to do anything great with their remaining lives anyway. By creating the message “this is what Cayce is about” what you’re doing is driving away young intellectuals who have the energy and opportunity to make substantive changes, and who would benefit from the insight the readings offer.

    • @soulcontactwithpeterwoodbury
      @soulcontactwithpeterwoodbury  4 года назад

      Fred,
Might you put your energies into building what you believe in? If the ARE doesn't meet your standards, find an organization that does, and work with that organization. I'm following my inner guidance and doing what I know best to do. That's what I practice and preach. I don't control or have influence in the direction the ARE chooses or doesn't choose to go. That's in the hands of their leadership. And you are helping me to remember the adage, "criticism is easy. Art is difficult."

    • @freddietz96
      @freddietz96 4 года назад

@@soulcontactwithpeterwoodbury Wondering if you’d prefer God, Himself reminding you of the considerably more familiar adage, ars longa, vita brevis.
Thing is, if I had children, and I were talking with them about Martin Luther, and whether or not there was moral worth in Luther’s nailing 95 Theses to the Wittenberg Cathedral, my answer would be a solid “yes”-which is exactly what I’ve done here. It would be “yes” regardless of whether or not I necessarily agree/disagree with all the uses of those Theses made by persons who were not Luther.
As far as me starting my own ARE, that isn’t what God has called me to do. Which isn’t to say I don’t have a calling concerning the Cayce material, but what you describe is simply not that calling.
And as far as “withholding criticism from those who put themselves in one position of moral or authority or another”, that is absolutely not how Jesus himself lived. So I’d contradict the pattern he set if I withheld same.
Yet the ARE most certainly has made itself into both a moral authority on the Cayce readings, as well as a “guru factory”. They don’t come out and say that’s what they are, but that’s essentially what they’ve become-and they exhibit no qualms about having become such.
The ARE then dodges criticism-or tries to-by saying, “We’re not a church, just a non-profit.” It uses a legalism to equivocate away criticism directly. This is not Jesus “appealing to simple”-this is sophisticated dodge the Pharisees themselves would have employed if it served them.
And when all else fails, “Comments Are Disabled For This Video”-which is what you’ll find under nearly all of ARE’s videos.
What you’re doing here, in contrast, is very Pollyanna-ish. You do for people trying to learn about the ARE what Pollyanna’s pastor dad did for people trying to learn about the Bible-he gave them only the happy verses. It’s a deceptive report on an important phenomena, a deceptive report on an organization that at one time was altogether respectable-and which labors to trade on that former respectability, even as it refuses to be true the ideals of its progenitor.
And I don’t think God’s in any way opposed to anything I said here. Or-let me put it to you this way-I don’t think God’s going to take the side of the current ARE and salvage that organization. I think by next Easter it will be an ex-organization, its doors indefinitely shuttered. There will not be sufficient revenue to cover any loans it takes to cover expenses, and the lenders will then seize whatever property the ARE puts up for collateral.
I could wait until that time to comment on how the ARE has itself walked away from Jesus, or I could say as much here and now.
True enough, I might offend persons who’s livelihood in part is reflective of the ARE maintaining an illusion of respectability, yet illusion is all it is.

Ramana Maharshi Be as You Are Chapter 12 Experience and Samadhi...Sahaja samadhi-the unified field of awareness or Born Again. When the ego is destroyed along with the subconscious/ unconscious mind revealing the superconscious mind.
This is in essence what I believe usually happens at death: The conscious mind moves through the subconscious level & if their are strong earthly desires then it moves towards those vibrational levels of resonounce. See book by Dr George Ritchie-Return From Tommorrow.
If it moves into the VOID=Unconscious mind it feels great PEACE & a sense of higher consciousness bleeding thru from-the Superconscious mind.
If at this stage the soul has mergedi with GOD presence it moves into Earths astral counterpart.
You might want to check out the NDE of a retired Santa Barbara paramedic-30 + years who died of COVID. As he transitioned to earth's Astral counterpart he saw 2 different types of E.Ts greeting him.
Strange right,?until you realize that if you die on earth, you will be linked into earths astral counterpart, and you will be a part of earth's spiritual evolutionary future=Incarnation,s.
I have no doubt that with their subconscious memories of space travel & high I.Q,s they will be at the forefront of space craft technology & the mathematics necessary for faster than light speed travel. This paramedics NDE-6.7 MILLION VIEWS.

🌿I agree, and it's scriptural, that the twelve apostles did fall asleep on Jesus, when He asked them to stay awake and to pray for Him. At times, disappointing Jesus when He needed them most.
Nevertheless, His apostles were extremely upset when it became apparent that Jesus was going to be crucified: i.e., when Peter cut off the ear of a Roman soldier, because he wanted to stop him from taking Jesus away; moments before of His own accord, Jesus laid down His life. Additionally, Jesus's apostles would become a martyr (with the exception of St. John of Patmos Island, dying of old age), through demonstrating their love for Jesus, which ultimately became their lasting testimony. The apostles are a reflection of how we all fall short and disappoint one another. Yet ultimately, their faith shined forth in the end.🌿

My personal insight is that at Gethsemane, Jesus was just concerned if the apostles were ready for Him to leave. He kept seeing how "asleep" they were and He kept double and triple checking with God, until He finally relented and submitted His will to God's that is was indeed time for Him to depart. He had done His job. They were ready.
