- The Edgar Cayce information on meditation, prayer and affirmations has touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals around the world. To be sure, Cayce was one of the first sources in the Western Hemisphere to consistently recommend meditation to individuals from every religious background. Prayer calls/ ask for God to work in our lives, meditation quiets the egoic/ carnal mind so we can hear God "speak" to us.
