A middle to low spin ball is best while you learn. Why? A higher spin ball will exaggerate a slice or fade. It will go further off line. Yes, it won't hold on the green, or go as far, but if your missing greens and fairways. Does it matter? Lets play for hitting fairways and greens in regulation, and reducing 3 putts. Happy New Year, I am very much looking forward to following your improvements. I've played golf for 30 years. Made it to a 4 handicap in league play. At 54, I will shoot between par and 10 over. Depends on stretching and warmups. LOL One of the most helpful things for me was. I printed Golf Digest Magazine for 20 years. I got to read about and practice their tips. The most helpful tips for me were more about what to do in a certain situations. There are fundamental things in golf that keep us from making mistakes. Stance, club selection, take your medicine when in trouble, pitch out. (that one is the hardest). When to take a divot and when to sweep the ball, Higher lofted clubs from deeper grass and what to chip the ball with near the green, you don't have to always use a pithing wedge? And hundreds more. I guess my long winded point is. Learning HOW to really play golf, not just about hitting the ball, is a fantastic journey. Its a journey worth taking. Thanks for bringing us.

Have you tried lowering the tee on your fairway woods as it may be a bit too high if you're hitting the top of the head. Looking forward to what you bring this new year mate 👍👌 I keep waterproofs in the big side pockets.
I just found your channel and I really like your positivity. I've subscribed, so looking forward to more content. As for 'what's in the bag', I carry a golf vest, a golf sweater (it's waterproof), a beanie and my winter gloves in one of the big pockets. That way, I'm ready for all conditions that I might face on the course. In summer, I also carry sunscreen. Fortunately, I live in Southern California, so I can play year-round (although it is a bit chilly and wet this week).
Good video. I live across the pond where it’s super hot. I usually store sunscreen and face lotion with sunscreen in one of my large pockets and a pack away waterproof jacket in the other.
Large pockets are for weather clothing. We can swing 40*F in 4 hours around here so being able to peal off and store, or the reverse, is very handy. My inexpensive lightweight TGW raingear doubles and wind block for those days when wind chill would ruin an otherwise fine windy day. If you can get your hands on a good one, in stiff shaft, hit some balls with a 9 wood. Lots easier to hit than long irons and most land soft. I think of mine as a long distance wedge, it lands and stops.

Have noticed the same folks who make fun of my 9W cannot hit their 3 thru 5 irons worth a tinkers' damn. But they will be damned if they will carry something they have only seen LPGA players using. Silly, really.
I notice a lot of folks from the U.K. love playing Mizuno clubs. I've never had the pleasure of swinging one. That being said, certified instructor here with a couple of things for you if you want them....Regarding the crowning of your 5 Wood, just imagine you're always keeping your head behind the ball and physically looking at the back of the ball on the swing and you should stop crowning them. If not, then you may be teeing too high. The other comment is that when it comes to flex, they do use club head speed as a way of determining flex, as you mentioned. However, the reality is, use the flex that feels the most comfortable for YOU and doesn't spray the shots all over the course. That's the real rule of thumb at the end of the day and it's a matter of preference for each player. For example, I play regular flex on my irons but stiff with my driver. you have more pockets than my bag so some of mine are dual purpose, but for that empty large pocket, i would recommend a telescopic ball retriever. great for grabbing balls from a water hazard, your own, or others lost ones.
Loving the vids mate! I just got myself a complete set of M4s and have only played a couple rounds with them so far, but am loving them. My last round was probably the best I’ve hit consistently. Defs a lot better than the $50 second hand set of irons I bought to start off with haha

Throw a small first aid kit in your bag, you never know. Over here (Australia), my bag is full of insect repellent, sunscreen, first aid kit, mainly stuff to keep yourself alive. All the best for the New Year, mate.
