30%tax slab for 10L income proposed for fy 2012-13, still same tax slabs exists. The total inflation raised is 67% for these many years. So practically govt is increasing tax every year.. this issue no body raising, Rachana mam ca 's like you should rise such issues..🙏 it's huge tax burden on salaried class.

Hi Mam, w.r.t new buget 2021 income tax changes as far as i know/got to know. The basic salary of an employee should be min 50% of his/her salary, by this it will take max portion of 80c of limit 1.5 lac exemption(under EPF). With this we can not claim other savings like insurance, ppf, fd etc... Most importanlty home load principal amount reduction/exemption from 1.5 lac will obviously come down because of EPF portion. Is there any increase in 80C limit or else any separate section for home loan principle amount. 80EEA exemption on interest has many condition, like -- property value should be < 45 lac and sqft area limitations on metropolitian cities/other cities. W.r.t grwing economy very few can only utilize this section. I believe its for onlye name sake and very few to utilize it. Coming to my concern, with increase in basic salary to 50%, increase in EPF portion, it will reduce home loan principal amount portion in 80C. In turn will have to pay more tax than previous FY - 2020-21. Could you pls correct me if i am wrong, and is there section to adjust home loan principal amount and interest (even if we have more sqft area as prescribed under 80EEA). Please suggest me, your valuable suggestion would be more appreciated.

However, the govt now has focused on long term(tho I would say they did forget a few things) and the budget is for the nation I feel, not the voters. The passing of this budget needed guts from the side of govt as they might lose public popular opinion due to this and lose seats in upcoming elections.

The govt that time didn't do that hence we have to compensate now. As much as I hate this budget for not having anything for the middle class as an instant gratification due to covid and job losses, I feel like these people actually have the balls to not care about the election for once and rather the long term(10-15 yrs) development needed ahead.
