- 2 of our AI-powered waste-sorting robots picking out recyclables from a residue line, recovering them from being sent to landfill. The robotic pickers are extracting hard plastics (e.g. PET or HDPE bottles), aluminium cans and fibres (recyclable paper) from the line at the back end of one of our clients' material recovery facilities (MRFs). These valuable materials will be aggregated and resold for recycling.
so exactly what were they picking out of the trash
This is my fursona
A little more detail in the description would be helpful please.
This seems counter intuitive. Not just the cost of startup, but cost of running and maintaining the machines. Recycling nowadays almost seems like a ponzi scheme.
What a good boy
Feels a little like the game "Remember Me" - a lot of "Robots at Work" signs.
Really interested to see the rest of this chain and what happens after.
They probably get it wrong more often as the homeless guy and cost way more
That guy is fast
Well that’s a couple more people unemployed
Oh that’s sick, it’s impressive honestly.
That only seems effective if its gone through other primary processes first.. otherwise, imagine that being the only way to sort them
would like more stats on how many misses happens, and how many of these in a row you need to properly catch all the recyclables. because even watching, saw several recyclables missed by the second arm.
Hmm, factorio inserter
100 таджиков дешевле чем один такой робот! А снег во дворах до сих пор лопатами чистят.
all for robots replacing humans tbh, nobody wants to do this and the robots are definitely better. Together we march towards the singularity!
Could be done by hand. By 2 people
