2 of our AI-powered waste-sorting robots picking out recyclables from a residue line, recovering them from being sent to landfill. The robotic pickers are extracting hard plastics (e.g. PET or HDPE bottles), aluminium cans and fibres (recyclable paper) from the line at the back end of one of our clients' material recovery facilities (MRFs). These valuable materials will be aggregated and resold...

good afternoon, we are from Kazakhstan, the company Akfa, we are interested in cooperation with you and joint production with respect, Kairat
skynet aproves
Oh that’s sick, it’s impressive honestly.
That's amazing! Go Recycleye!
Thank you - we're glad you love it!
@@RecycleyeLtd 😀
That guy is fast
all for robots replacing humans tbh, nobody wants to do this and the robots are definitely better. Together we march towards the singularity!
I agree and his is good
Feels a little like the game "Remember Me" - a lot of "Robots at Work" signs.
thats amazingg
Really interested to see the rest of this chain and what happens after.
robots are disabled in my town been for several years, also they just press it into cubes and send it 1000km to sweden with truck to get burned.
Plastic goes straight to the landfill since cn won't take it anymore. The aluminum probably gets recycled. Maybe paper if you're lucky
This is one of the fields where AI can and will shine in the future even more. One day we wont need any humans doing this jobs anymore, not even staying there to have the "last check". Which is great actually.
What a good boy
:D so true
yup
You mentioned that wastenet is an open source dataset, is it really open source 🤔
This is my fursona
Well that’s a couple more people unemployed
Lucky bastards, a job like that isn't living.
@@krashdThe smell alone. I've seen people doing that and it's just not worth it.
You should get employed then as someone who maintains these machines
@@navaraiizerxces6009 Machines need less maintenance than doing the work the machines do.
That's not true, until you've done a shitty repetitive job like this you don't realise how much maintenance it takes to keep yourself going. Eat the food, shit the food, do the job, wash yourself provide yourself with entertainment, make sure you get enough sleep all so you can go in the next day and do it again. I'm glad robots are removing the need for people to do this shit so we're actually forced to confront the reality we expect people to act like a machine for 40 hours a week minimum just so they can feed their family and keep a roof over their head. It doesn't have to be like that.
Could be done by hand. By 2 people
recycling is already expensive enough. by reducing the number of people, cost is reduced. Further, it can run 24/7. people are slow, robots are fast. electricity for a robot is a lot cheaper than paying a human a reasonable wage (that is to say, not exploiting cheap labor in other countries) If we can reduce the running cost, we can make recycling a feasible process to be done on a large, impactful scale.
You should do it then, ironwolf!
@@krashd I would if I get paid the same for what I am qualified for..... But I do know allot of people that would gladly do it for a minimum wage. It would get them off the street.
they usually are out of order.. maintenance is heavy on these, so now when camera is turned off... they shut down robots and press all rubbish and sell it on the marked, westcoast of norway just send it with trucks to sweden 1000km away to get burned...
It is. But when you factor in the difference in time it takes for a human to do the same job, you can be saving money in the long run by having people/things that do it faster.
Eines Tages wird der Roboter sagen f#ckt euch Menschen, ich gehe die jenigen umbringen die Kartons zur Plastik schmeißen 😅 KI willkommen 😂
so exactly what were they picking out of the trash
plastic bottles left, aluminum cans right and paper goes through. There are two robots so anything missed by the first gets picked up by the second.
trash
It’s called the Recycle eye so…. Cheese? Biscuits? Dogs? Not sure.
Bits of there robot friends that where destroyed in a galactic war, there so close to having a 3rd arm. Once they reach the 3rd arm status then we as humans will be asked to vacate this planet
@@soapflakes Recycling can refer to a bunch of materials those robots sort out.
That second robot is so lifelike
1. How does this not have more views? 2. Have you considered separating items by relative weight beforehand? might add more consistency to storing. From a recycling and all-things-software enthusiast, good job!
I never understood how business owners and CEOs walk around in grungy looking t-shirts while trying to make potential clients looking to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on equipment. If you can barely dress and groom yourself, I'm not going to be so sure about your company and product. Yea, doesn't mean it's one way or other, the person wearing the shirt could be the foremost expert, but I can't present this kind of image to major manufacturing clients. Dress for the job you want, not the job you got.
Hi Justin. Thanks for watching our video. It might seem strange, but dealing with waste can be a dirty business so we dress in a way we think is safe and appropriate. Hope that makes sense and thanks for your comments and interest.
Are you selling those robots?
