    Thank you so much for this tutorial and for speaking in terms that I can understand. I followed your tutorial and created a simple circle border for patches. I only had one issue, my machine did not follow the stop and trim commands that i added. Instead it went straight through all three layers without stopping/trimming at all. I can still use my file and just sew a t a very slow pace and manually stop and trim but I wold love to find out the reason my machine is ignoring these commands. Can you help me?

    • @LowTechLinux
      @LowTechLinux  3 года назад

      Thank you for the kind words.
      What brand and model number embroidery machine do you have?
      One thing you could try as a work around is to change the color of each layer. That would instruct the machine to stop to allow a color change. You just hit continue on the machine when you're ready for the next sewing run. Hint: it doesn't know you didn't change colors 😁😁.
      Let me know if this works for you.

      Please try to save and use the format .vp3. It seems to be the only one inkstitch and your machine have in common.

    • @mindrhapsodyofficial
      @mindrhapsodyofficial 3 года назад

      @@LowTechLinux I figured VP3 would be the best format for my machine so that’s how I saved my file. I will remake it or edit my file, in ink stitch with different colors for each layer and see if that works. Thanks for the tip. Do you know what type of stitch I would need to make free standing lace designs? I think it will require multi layered stitches in order to hold shape and not unravel once I remove it from the hoop and dissolve the water soluble, stabilizer. Also, I’ve noticed a few differences in the ink stitch I have installed on my computer and the one that is featured on the official video tutorials. For instance, I watched a tutorial that showed how to install the add ons and thread lists and according to that video, there’s an option to print off a list of thread brands and colors used in the embroidery files we create with ink stitch. My version doesn’t include the print option. I wonder if it’s a new feature and I have an outdated version or if my version is the newest and these tutorials are outdated. Or if my add ons or thread lists, didn’t load properly. I know it’s a lot of questions. I guess I need to contact ink stitch support but they seem to use words that I don’t understand.

      @@mindrhapsodyofficial check a project that you know works and go to inkstitch>visualize and export>pdf export.
      This takes some time to render (similar to simulator preview).
      Once the pdf is loaded click on settings>design tab. You should see thread palette drop down menu. Select your machine and the threads in the pdf listing will set to your machine palette.

    Hello there. I have a question for you. I removed the filling of the number 6 in ink stitch. I gave 3 millimeters as stroke. Then when you turn it into an applique, the number is divided into parts and does not give a healthy result.
