This song has ALWAYS made me feel like something is clutching my heart.
Another one of Neil's songs actually contains the line "I'll clutch at your heart" (Pineapple Head)
Amen!!!
I can not express enough in words the joy listening to you folks gives me. Thank you 😇
Thank you for doing such a wonderful rendition to one of my favorite, and arguably one of the most emblematic songs, of the 1980s. Today is my birthday, and I can't think of a better present than hearing this song being covered by such a talented group of individuals.
Thanks, that's awesome synergy! Happy birthday, Drake!
You took away the words from me!!! Likewise one of my favourite songs. I went to the Crowded House show twice, in the late 1980s and again in the early 1990s.
Maravilhoso! From Brazil
I love this song ❤
Just discovered this group today. This song says so much about today. Thank you!
This song means a lot to me and is one of my favorites. Thanks, this arrangement is amazing!
This is like my 10th consecutive video of them covering songs. Such great work
Me too!!!!!!
Brings back college days memories!...Thank you!...Thank you!
Simply wonderful
Sensacional!!!😍💖🎧🎼🎶🎵💗🇧🇷👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Quick! Look closely...do you see a woman who is not gorgeous, or a man who is not handsome? The transformational power of music....
Great job, all! Several major goosebump moments. Beautiful arrangement & performance. Cheers!
I love everything you folks sing! Always find myself looking for Estee and there she is up front.
Sending her a special wink.
Beautiful version 🎶 🎵
Thank you , my favourite song and my favourite city. Love and blessings.
A big hit in Brasil also!
So beautiful. Gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. And I've played this vid many, many times. Kudos, CCC!!
Don't Dream It's Over
Crowded House
There is freedom within, there is freedom without
Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup
There's a battle ahead, many battles are lost
But you'll never see the end of the road
While you're traveling with me
Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
We know they won't win
Now I'm towing my car, there's a hole in the roof
My possessions are causing me suspicion but there's no proof
In the paper today tales of war and of waste
But you turn right over to the T.V. page
Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
We know they won't win
Now I'm walking again to the beat of a drum
And I'm counting the steps to the door of your heart
Only the shadows ahead barely clearing the roof
Get to know the feeling of liberation and relief
Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
Don't ever let them win

🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏼👏🏼
Awsome
That's a lovely rendition: thank you from a slightly obsessed fan of Neil's songwriting and fellow chorister.
Eu acredito que isso foi uma das coisas mais lindas que eu já vi na vida. Lindo demais!
Todos na mesma frequencia.
Just gorgeous!
Incredible song. Is it possible to get the vocal arrangement. It seems like a good choice for our senior class song at graduation, especially as we are graduating into a very divided adult world in the US.
So lovely!
Hey ! I thought that was Tim Finn at 1:42 ! Lovely ! So many happy voices !
Never heard of him latter mention Yes
Fantastic !
Neil Finn would be proud of you.

Wish they would have sung the keyboard refrain to end the song but otherwise awesome
I love this arrangement! Where can I find the sheet music?
Nice. But a bit too fast. Sounds rushed.
has anyone read goosebumps by R.L. Stine?
Cool older song them I thought
how long you spend in this kind of recordings, normally?
Hi Choir Choir Choir - what key is this in and what arrangement do you use? Is the sheet music publicly available? Thanks! x
Vanessa Badaraco It looks like it is in the original Eb Major, a key he said recently that he likes to compose in. The chords can be found on Ultimate Guitar but also in "The Best of Crowded House" Hal-Leonard book guitar/piano book, which is worth getting. The barre chords are a little unusual in the original and I found I had to build my hand strength and practise the transitions. The guitarist here uses Capo 3, but that's likely to save using a couple of barre chords. There are some good approximations that also use capo 3 in online lessons that are easier to play. Neil said in an interview that it was originally in E but his producer suggested that he lower it to Eb and it made all the difference. I have seen Neil play it Capo 3 with different chords, too, so do what works for you.
Wonder what is this song about?
Great singing, but acoustics of room are poor.
The choir sounds muddy in these recordings, like they're singing mainly in unison, no real effort on the arrangements.
Because it's an impromptu concert but some of them sound more arranged in actually surprised they don't just have the words up but they sometimes have the music in their hands
