Hi, mate. Thanks for the video. I have just ordered Apple Watch Series 9 Cellular. I am in the UK, currently using Lebara, which doesn’t support Apple Watch. I am thinking of going with O2. Is it possible for you to tell me the process step by step from joining a new network to getting the network to work on my Apple Watch, please? Thanks in advance, pal.
Isn’t that possible to import an independent line / carrier support eSIM the Apple Watch with the QR code? Want to try that, hypothetically, it should support when you choose ‘set for another family member’ when set up the watch at the beginning.
What scares me is that sometimes the phone rings on both and sometimes only on iPhone !!! Any reason you can think of ??? I have the best contract etc etc so it’s not that , maybe a setting any ideas ?
I got an unlimited data/calls/text for Apple Watch cellular plan for my 40mm SE for £47.00 PM. I can’t have my phone with me at work but I do have my cellular watch so can send receive text’s emails etc. Great for phone addicts also; switch the phone off but stay in touch 😊
I am trying same scenario... Wife and 3 kids and everyone else in family is apple so they talked me into trying... I have samsung s24ultra and garmin epixpro2 on desk in limbo.... I am trying iphone15promax with apple watch ultra2... Similar deal here in Canada your provider charges a smaller ammount and its like an addon device that works in tandem with phn when together piggybacking or stand alone if you just have watch... I have been trying ultra2 for 5k daily walks we do to not have to bring phn and i found it was so handy i now wear it all day now and often leave without phone...apparently earlier this year they changed somethibg to open it up to international roaming... Planning a trip to Greece soon for a month and im thinking ro turn phn off when i get there and see what 4 weeks with jist a watch is like... Last year took epixpro2 to greece very dark village up in mountains the built in LED flashlight saw alot of use... Anyway have fun trying new watch let us know what u decide
@@CSSC0derhaha good choice...so im back from Greece...turns out my bought in Canada ultra2 only works stand alone in NAmerica and maybe caribean...Greece it only worked bluetooth to phn...and it was a scenario of daily charging

I have the ultra 2 & only pay £7 a month from ee . I would not be without my cellular as it gets me away from my phone besides what’s the point if you have to have your phone with you to receive calls & messages on your watch 🤔 when you could just do it on your phone .
I did. know this. I had the Ultra and I never connected it to cellular because I always had my phone with me. You don't have to have cell service for the Ultra if you always have your phone with you. I ended up returning the Ultra for the Epic G2 Garmin as it was more accurate for GPS running. And lastly you are NOT an idiot. The person who sold you the Ultra is an idiot for not explaining it well to you.
I had both the Apple watch Series 7 & Ultra for a while and recently switched to the Epic as neither Apple watch was consistent accurate on my runs. Not majorly off, but always gave me different distances on the same route. The Garmin always gives me the same distance every time. Did this week find an Apple Watch Series 8 for $275 which was too good to pass on, but honestly not sure I will keep it as it just reproved itself how good the Epic is. Apple watch better for daily as I never miss notifications, but Garmin for workouts 100%. @@CSSC0der
See I’m an apple fan boy and it’s been a few years since I’ve had an Apple Watch as had the Epix 2, as the battery life was priority for me. I’ll give them both a good run for their money this weekend, wonder how the Apple Watch will fair with GPS, Cellular music and full on guided navigation. Epix will prob use 1% 😂😂😂
Yep. Keep me posted. I scored a Series 8 for $275 "open box" in new condition aside from no charger and cable. Not an issue I have both. But and being reminded quickly why I switched to the Epic 2 leaving me not sure I will keep it. @@CSSC0der
Still no carriers support this in IRELAND.. absolute joke.. 3 mobile in the UK does but not in Ireland.. only found this out after purchasing an Apple Watch ultra and that was the main reason for buying it
Thanks mate! I just realised today that I hadn’t activated mine. I always had my phone with me so I thought I was good because it would ring and receive calls. (Whilst iPhone and Apple watch were together) Today was the first day I didn’t have my phone and it wasn’t until I tried making a call using my Ultra 2 that I realised what an idiot I’ve been! I’d been paying for that extra SIM number and never using it. I’m the goofball not you mate! Appreciate your review, cheers!
You do not have to activate the cellular. I do not and there is no impact to the functionality.
Agree, you don’t NEED it, but also it is nice to have just in case.
Can you use the gps without a plan.
Very helpful

Would the music work on the watch online without iphone close to you?
If you do family sharing I think you should have no issues
If on cellular yes.
Hi thanks for the video. You mentioned an O2 and EE plan, is your phone and watch on the same carrier?
Cheers
Yes same carrier.

Normally it’s “display phone on watch” so it should ring on both. My alarm starts on my watch then about 10 seconds later starts on my phone.
Good to know and your video on how to set it up is awesome as well!
Thank you 🙏
Can I do the same on the ultra 1
Was hoping for a way to have a pay as you go esim work with it.
Haven't found anything though😂
I just do mine on monthly rolling contract with EE, £7

If your network supported Apple Watch, would you still need the additional plan for the Watch??
Yes I believe so
You do yes on 3 it’s around £7 a month
Can you not activate it and them change your mind down the line and then activate it at will?

Wow I mean FENIX 8
@@CSSC0derhaha good choice...so im back from Greece...turns out my bought in Canada ultra2 only works stand alone in NAmerica and maybe caribean...Greece it only worked bluetooth to phn...and it was a scenario of daily charging
My main reason for heading back to Garmin is purely battery life. Plus the Fenix 8 looks amazing.

How you finding the Epix Gen 2 - I still have mine. Going to do a comparison this weekend as going out hiking. Battery life is incredible isn’t it.

@Blindguy39 Vodafone just realised one number in Ireland for the Apple Watch easy enough to set up

Same here 😂 I also thought watch works on iPhone data plan
Don’t worry so did I 😩 then when I found out it didn’t, I was also on a network that wasn’t supported by the Apple Watch. Absolute nightmare
Thank you for this, i was thinking the same , now i m definitely not buying it
I have the cellular, but actually never used it since I got it. No real need for it to be honest. BUT the watch is incredible
Does your phone contract and Apple Watch contract have the same phone number ?
No, weirdly enough.
😁😁😁👍👍👍.....
