It’s wild to me that you still have to ask “do you take Apple Pay?” It’s only in the US this seems to be a thing. I never ask. If they take contactless they take Apple Pay.
Especially that it's in the country where Apple was created that you actually have to be concerned about places not taking Apple pay. In the UK Apple pay has worked everywhere since contactless and Apple Pay's inception.
@@AidanCran basically, 99 percent of places in the big cities and metro areas take Apple Pay without any questions. But smaller places wanted to stay away from it, to cook their books lol
Hmm. ”Can i Pay with Apple Pay?” Is a question ice never askes in my life. All stores and restaurants accept cards here, and all who accept cards accept all variants of contactless. Almost bought an ultra 2 a couple of days ago for this exact scenario and after watching this, boy am I glad I didn't. Hi Shervin ! May I ask a question? I’m an Apple Watch user since Apple Watch Series 1, over the years I’ve noticed a certain .. hallow/ cavity / gaunt on my wrist where my Apple Watch used to be, am I the only one ? Not only you but also people that read me there. Problem is that my wrist with this sort of cavity or gaunt is putting my Apple Watch on bad position, first I need to tighten more and also it reads datas from sensors not the best it can .. I’ve switched from my usual left arm to my right arm and the reading are different like more fast and accurate Maybe you have the problem too (not only you Shervin)

As with everyone else who makes these "I replaced" videos, you will end up going back to a smartphone. I'm not trying to be snarky or anything. Apple Watches just don't cover all the bases that most people need - and that is 100% intentional on Apple's part. Want to compose a WhatsApp message? Good luck. Need to compose a detailed email with no grammatical or spelling mistakes? Have fun. There are just too many things that are clunky and inefficient to do on a watch (or in some cases, impossible). Everyone gets giddy and excited when watching Apple Watch marketing and thinks "Wow! I can leave my iPhone at home and have less screen time!" ...but if they go ahead with it, reality slowly kicks in. I know it's less exciting, but you can get a small and simple phone (like iPhone SE) to discourage screen time, and set up software guards and reminders to spend less time on the device. The experience will be a lot better. Sure, it won't look as cool as an Apple Watch Ultra, and maybe people will think you have less money (*gasp*). But if you actually value what you claim to value, this will accomplish what you're looking to do in terms of spending more time in the world and less time on a gadget. ...and again, not to be snarky, but you didn't replace your iPhone - Apple made sure that you can't use an Apple Watch without an iPhone sitting around somewhere pushing notifications to your watch.
that highly depends on your definition of "bases that most people need". tbh if most people used only what they actually need they would have a computer at best and a phone with keys. you dont need more. switched to a dumb phone (Nokia 3310 new version) a while ago and guess what: i get along quite well. people get their whatsapp response when i get home using my ipad, if there is an actual emergency people just call me (or i call them), i use my actual cards to pay for stuff and im quite surprised that i find my way by using signs, a sense of orientation and my brain. seriously, when i stopped using my iphone i thought id get lost like immediately but it didnt happen not even once. when i buy groceries i use a note made paper (yes, they do exist) or just try to remember what i need and when i get spare time while not at home i just look around try to enjoy the quiteness and just be by myself. getting rid of that thing was the best decision ive made. i believe we as mankind cant process all the information we take in through our phones in the long run and we get burnt out eventually. i also believe that the smarter the phones the dumber the people. just my two cents
I would never do this. You literally cannot fast forward/rewind with Apple Music or Spotify. It has no browser. etc. I don't think the watch is quite there yet and Apple is moving toward glasses-like wearables to replace the phone. My Ultra 2 is an incredible piece of tech. Easily the best smart watch you can buy. It's not going to replace my 15 PM, but it does compliment it nicely.
FYI, you need the phone paired via BT/wifi to push health data on the paired phone. If you have the cell watch it still wont update over cell signal on the phone. That also means, that you cant share your health data over the watch, it's only shared over the paired phone AND the wearer must actively open the health app before the most recent health data is hsared with a third person. total bummer. It may be an edge case, but the use would be if you only wanted to monitor vitals from a remote location. Haven tried other functions yet, like share location and so on. But I assume it's the same.

Well you know like where you live and what’s around you. No one would be using navigation all day and super fitness tracking. Also, just pair it with an iPhone mini or SE if you really wanna give it up

Using GPS all day, texting and payments, multiple workouts, and 10+ hours while navigating new York, all while using cellular and the battery being a rechargeable wearable on your wrist!? I think to impress you we'd need a miracle
Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas Shervin!
I see Shervin post, I click 😂 Did I hear correctly, run Leadville?
should I??
@@ShervinShares do you like hills? Leadville is an out and back and the turnaround is after going straight up Hope Pass which is the highest point of elevation on the course. But it’s a fun way to question your life’s decisions lol
this guy surely knows how to repeat videos
we need to do yearly updates!
Just like u do comments and talking in general?
With a different watch. Now we know about battery life, increased chip speed, new app, etc.
This one is more interesting because it is banned from sales in the United States.
Stop hating Don’t hate the guy hate the game 😤
7:15 thanks for addressing this!!
Is nike band available for apple watch ultra 2?
Pls choose lane 1 at the track if you do lane 1 not lane 2
That’s is the one thing I hated more than anything else about New York City. Not taking credit card or Apple Pay is something inexcusable even in my small town in Indiana there isn’t a business that is cash only. Most of them accept Apple Pay even though many of them don’t know it.
Call me Tour de France baby let’s goooo! 🤣🤣🤣. Great video!! Loved it!!
Well you know like where you live and what’s around you. No one would be using navigation all day and super fitness tracking. Also, just pair it with an iPhone mini or SE if you really wanna give it up
@18:00-18:10Mustache is a little crooked, it’s bothering me
Could you last 7 days with only the Ultra 2 and a cellular iPad? Phone switched off entirely.
This video was very insightful. I only wish your son made a cameo.
Great video as always.
Do you use the walkie talkie feature?
sometimes! but very rarely
Great video, Shervin! 👍👏💪
Thank you!
Ok what if someone calls you on wifi can you receive that call ?
Can you receive Whatapp message ( used in the rest of the world }.
Does the watch have any preset workouts installed on it? Like on my garmin it has cardio workouts/tabata/timing on it by default
No, but you can make some yourself.
Ok Doctor Robotnik
Hahaha
I think it is easier to replace iphone with a watch in Scandinavia eg Sweden as 100% accept apple pay and very few accept cash, subway you tap your apple pay to travel and whole city is covered in 5G.. I just wish more apps are developed for the watch such as Whoop and gym apps to access facilities
Where did you get that band ?
planing to buy one too 👍
@shervinshares Hi Shervin, this sounds stupid but it might be something you'd be able to test. I'm curious to know whether an apple watch can be be used on the ankle during sleep and if it gives out the same metrics as it would when you wear it on the wrist. That would be a great video!
My favorite series 🔥🤩
yesss
Are you from europe, you use 24h time and whatsapp..... We all use that here in europe.
What about a camera?
Nice bag have the same one
