There he is, fast asleep

Why not wake him up?
Cute, cute little baby
Little pee pee, little toes
Now he's comin' to me
Crawl across the kitchen floor

Sister, sister, he's just a plaything
We wanna make him stay up all night
Yeah, we do
[Verse 2]
See him drink from a bottle
See him eat from a plate
Cute, cute as a button
Don't you wanna make him stay up late?
And we're having fun with no money
Little smile on his face
Don't you love the little baby?
Don't you want to make him stay up late?
[Chorus]
Baby, baby, please let me hold him
I wanna make him stay up all night
Sister, sister, he's just a plaything
We wanna make him stay up all night
[Bridge]
Here we go (all night long)
Sister, sister (all night long)
In the playpen, woo! (all night long)
Little baby goes, ha! (all night long)

Underappreciated maybe. Underrated? No. They were the critics darlings.
@@Chzlog .......and they sold MILLIONS of records.....hardly an accomplishment of someone / something "under rated".......
Cut cute little baby. Look at him drink from a bottle eat food from a plate. One of the most observant song writers of our time..forget love songs. Clever political statements... Its stay up all night and play with baby... Byrne genious
@Kirk Landau I think he's saying, forget love songs and forget clever political statements. Let's stay up late and play with the baby.

Où l'on peut constater le génie esthétique de ce groupe légendaire mené de main de maître par le charismatique David Byrne !

My mum played Talking Heads as far as my memory goes back to summer holidays when I was little in the early 80s. This song was never big on my list, but to this day Talking Heads are almost my favourite band.... Then, age 35, I had a a 'Creature of Love', whole album took a new swerve and this tune has made me laugh so hard! Brilliant! No wonder she loved this song so much. Brilliant. I love knowing David wrote the album after his kid. Now I have one it is all different again. Amazing band.
Never heard this before now. I like it.

Today's music can't even hold a candle to these guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to listen to all types of music as I grew up in the Boogie Down Bronx since the 60's. All of my other Afro friends wouldn't understand variety such as this because they considered this"White Boy" music. But, that's why they had grown up in their tiny, little boxes.
God I miss those days... this was one of the most EPIC fucking songs/video EVER CREATED! :)
I missed out and never seen Talking Heads live in concert. I say it's time for them to get back together, but I respect 'em for not doing so.

Saw them at the Palms in Milwaukee in like 1980. People were dancing to them on top of speakers. Fantastic show!
