I love the style of this video. No extra chatter, just a demo and a clear list of the supply list in the description. I used the links to find just what I needed to fix almost the exact same chip in my tub. Thanks!!
Never thought I'd be this hyped to patch up my tub!!!
Such a helpful video for a newbie. I am a really crafty and handy person, but I was worried about fixing a small chip in my sink myself. I feel confident doing it now!
Looks like a detailed and careful worker . Definitely Would hire him :)
Looks wonderful!! Thanks Danny!!
Thank you for the helpful video.
Excellent mate ...from NZ
Yay an upload I've been waiting for 3 weeks impatiently lol jk your amazing Danny
How do you match the color and tone?
Looks great
It would’ve been much more helpful if you either had text or you spoke over the music to indicate what it is that you’re using to fill the chip
I am sorry thanks for the feedback. There are a list of products in the description. I am slowly improving on providing the viewers more detailed info when filming.
What description
Is there any noticeable difference in color once the paint dries? Why not spray the entire tub to make sure?
Very slight if any at all.
Was that sink etched? I love the cast iron with porcelain sink that came with my home. But it's etched, and I can't stand it, not "looking" clean.
What keeps it from falling through ?
what is the "All-Purpose Putty Bondo" used in the video? I clicked the link to amazon you provided under the description, but it looks different from the one you use on the video. Can you provide the pic of info of the exact same bondo you used please. thanks so much.
There is all purpose and there is high performance. Both I recommend.
If you have to polish the spray later what clay product do you use?
You can go to auto zone for some clay or use some 3000 grit wet sand paper
This is like doing acrlic nail. I totally understand this lol
What kind of putty did you use and what did you mix with it
you make it look easy and it encourages me to DIY. I'm not able to identify the hardener in your details which you used to mix in with the putty. can you please help with that?
Bondo
Good demonstration but the music drove me up the wall. Unfortunately I made the end….
What sandpaper grit did you use I see you recommend 60 / 120 /150 did you use all three to get it as fine as possible or it depends on the area of the chip?
Click the, "more" in the description box to see all the info.
@@flytii actually didn’t see it, thank you
How do I find someone like you to repair our tub in the San Diego area?
You can try Miracle Method or google search Bathtub Reglazing San Diego
What is that compound mix called? And where can I purchase it at
Bondo All Purposue putty or Bondo High Performance. There is a list in my description box
OK, you list a number of goods, but the video only mentions two of them when it comes to sealing the chip:
Is there something missing? It appears to be a can of bondo and a hardener in a small squeezing white tube.
Are any other goods utilized, and if so, where in the processes are they used?
Excellent video , but i cannot hear what he says .
Didn't show the clean up after sanding...What to use tack cloth, vacuum ??? both?
both
What are the names of the products you use?
I have a list of products in the video description box. Check them out and if you have any other questions let me know
This little ruclips.net/user/postUgkxVoi3B4CB6Oygq1-vo4OTL1M_M5JkrXif tub works perfect in our 6 x 6 shower and is easy to get in and out. Also easy to drain.
It'll go off in the very first scrub when you clean the tub!
No way!
Have you tried Rustoleum Tub & Tile Spray instead of the Rustoleum Appliance Spray?
Yes. The tub and Tile is a different hue of white in comparison. The appliance spray matches better on metal tubs and the Tub and Tile spray matches better to some fiberglass tubs. Every manufacturer has a different shade of white so you will have to try and see which white matches best.
Oh, why didn't you just prep & patch both at the same time 😮.
Dude really! Appliance paint. How long do you think it s going to last?
I do it on the daily and have done over a thousand jobs. So dude really!
@@DPTubs How many times did you go back and check if it's still holding? I tried it so many times but it always fails.I own an apt complex and sometimes for some reason which l still can't figure out how tenants manage to chip bath tubs. So,I used all kinds of tricks and non of them last. I even had a company refinish the whole tub and it didn't last. So now l just started replacing them with plastic tubs which l hope will outlast porcelain ones.
@@ranimouf absolutely correct. My company is over 40 years old and 29 years ,myself. These materials are all wrong and will not last. Filler not rated for wet areas, 1k paint, and paint won't bond to glass without help.
This is why our industry has a bad reputation.
Not impressed with the final result to be honest. I don’t blame you though, that was as good as you were going to get with that product
You started off so well by showing in text you used 60 grit sandpaper. Then you stopped communicating 😒. Are these videos to show us you know how to do this or to teach others? We need words but bare minimum text.
This ain't going to last more than a week.
Not true… I give a one-year warranty. I would’ve been called back.
