Thank you for sharing. Keep them coming. Gold Coast, Australia
Well done Danny
Awesome video. I am attempting to repair my bathtub. Would love to hear how you would approach my repair
Beautiful job
Hi that looks awesome, the paint and primer is something you have to mix or thin down, does Home Depot have these items, im a novice, however ive been doing more tub resurfacing, however its all brush on texture, thank you
Thank your for a great how to. Could you please note the times for each step after the prep is done? Like 1st coat, wait xyz minutes, then 2nd coat, then wait xyz min, then 3rd coat, wait xyz minutes, then take off masking tape, then wait how long to use the tub?
One last thing - the products listed for priming/painting are links to spray cans, but you used a spraygun, so could you possibly link to the paints you used in the spray gun, for primer and epoxy coat?
Refreshing
Great video
I see the list of the products but i dont see u use all that
Can u explane what product u use in the video
Thanks
Buen video👍
Thanks JUAN!
I have a 2 inch crack but it seems it’s a surface crack only my tub is flexing how deep do I drill to add spray foam to support the flexing part ITS URGENT I NEED HELP
You guys should be aware that this does NOT work for fiberglass tubs. They flex minutely and a hard glaze spiderwebs with use. However, for porcelain tubs, this is fantastic. Good video!
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I have been in the industry for over 20 years and Fiberglass reglazing DOES work.
I think he just wanted somebody to believe him so he could tell his wife he was right 🤣
@@DPTubs hey brother quick question....I'm speckling counter tops, how do I keep from getting the clear coat all over my hands, latex doesn't work cause it sticks and rips, kitchen gloves don't allow me much dexterity what can I do?
@@aaronhitchcock9164 are you spraying? Blue latex gloves always work for me. I would just change gloves between coats
If you ever see this epoxy Harden in a cup you will notice that it's quite flexible almost like a rubber ball. This fellow doesn't know what he's talking about
Thanks for your videos! What kind of Epoxy primer do you use? I have been looking for one, but have not been able to find the correct one for bathtubs.
I use Midwest Chemicals Epoxy Primer or Resurface Solutions Epoxy Primer
Can you share which products you recommend for bondo, primer and finish.. looking to refinish ugly, old yellow enameled iron tub in Arizona
Should be in the description box of the video
Do you caulk before or afterwards?
that s a profesional work congratulations!!!, how much for a work like that ?
$350-$500
Awesome job, how much would this typically cost to have a pro redo a tub like this? And how long would it take, a day?
$395-$425 takes about 4 hours and can’t use for 48 hours to allow for curing
With the years you have in I have to ask what is the better method. Pour on or spray on? Pour on seems to be a thicker and holds up better. Just wondering
I have never poured on. I do not have an interest as pouring on just seems so messy and much more difficult to get a uniform finish.
Should I apply an Adhesion Promoter such as "Bulldog" before applying the primer?
I would recommend it if your primer is not for adhesion. Some primers are for sealing only.
After it's all finished, how long should you wait before using the bathtub? Great tutorial!
48 hours
What kind of compressor do you use for the gun?
Capspray Titan HVLP 75-115 I have the information in the description box.
How much time you wait in between primer and top coat?
10-12 minutes
is there a cheaper sprayer option?
You can try the Wagner Flexio 3000
Hi, is this applicable to steel bathtub?
Yes this is a pressed steel tub
what primer and glaze are you using? Are you mixing with hardener and reducer? what size nozzle are you using? what pressure?
#3 nozzle tip / euro epoxy primer / hardener yes, reducer as needed
@@DPTubs thanks!
this method works ?
① apply stix primer without sanding
② then topcoat with epoxy paint
What do you think?
I’m always open to try different things…haven’t tried it
How much do you charge per tub
$400-$500
Do u work in SoCal ?
No
I wish you don't move so much that camera but thanks!
Hold the camera still I'm getting dizzy. JOB WELL DONE
It’s on his head. He can’t hold a camera when he is working alone.
Thank you for understanding that I am using a GoPro on my head lol
I'm trying to a DIY on tub. Thank for the video.
Possibly informative, but the fukn broken record, squeaky, (currently trendy) music killed it entirely.
As it did when I looked at other videos on this channel.
Might be a good reference, BUT lose the horrible music.
No music might probably be better, tho a maybe a song by Queen could rock it
“Possibly informative”
“Might probably be better”
“Tho maybe”
Sounds like you enjoyed my video as much as I understood your comment
The video is a demonstration and not narrated. If you don't like the music, turn off your speaker. I'm betting your purchase offered a ID-10-T discount, too?
The music is so annoying
