  • Here is a straight forward bathtub reglazing job. No major repairs.
    I start off by sanding / cleaning with a 100 grit wet sanding block to remove any loose dirt and soap scum. Then I dry it off with some paper towel before sanding again with 120 grit dry sand paper to scuff up the surface to prepare for primer. Once I wipe it down and tack cloth it we start taping and masking off the bathtub to get ready to start sparying the primer before refinishing with the top coat. I spray two coats of Resurface solutions Euro Epoxy Primer and then two coats of Resurface Solutions ISO FREE Gloss White Top Coat. Hope you enjoy...feel free to ask any questions in my DM on instagram or here in the comments.

    Sir, how much should I expect to pay to have this done in the tub only? Also, is the peeling from the old glaze dangerous to one’s health? Thank you!

    What paint do you use after the primer?

    hello very nice work a question when you put primer you paint the same day or until the next day?

    You can remove the drain hardware and overflow cover ... I mean its one screw in the overflow trim, faster than taping it.

      Some customers don’t want to pay for the trip back to put it on. You do what the customers will pay for when it’s not your own. Right?

    How long after completion can the customer use the shower? Also what do you charge for a tub like that? Thanks

      48 hours!! I charge $395 but depending on where you live and competition it can range from $250-$500.

    Ive recently almost burned down my house due an accident. I had to throw a flaming blanket on the tub to quench it. my tub had some deep burn marks and some melted parts. Do you have any suggestion on how to go on and fix it? im afraid if i sand it that its gonna make a hole on it cuz idk how thick a tub is

    • @jasonryan6675
      @jasonryan6675 2 года назад

      Don't risk it. If there's extensive damage, your tub may no longer be structurally sound. This means you could develop leaks or break through the tub. Call a pro refinisher to come look at it or just replace.

    Great video thanks for posting. What primer do you use and do you thin it for the spray gun? I know you've used the Zinner 123 from the spray can before. Cheers

    • @DPTubs
      @DPTubs  2 года назад +3

      I might have mentioned in the video description but I use Resurface Solutions Euro Epoxy Primer and there is not need to thin it out. If I spray Zinnser out of my gun it definitely needs to be thinned with water quite a bit to spray out of the gun ok. I have started using the Resurface Solutions primer topcoat combo and the results have been amazing.

      @@DPTubs I got your attention , when you do something like that tell us about details, like what you use to clean the dust and speckles, after you prime it do you have to light sand it too, then when you paint 3 times and I hope you do that 3 times how long you wait between each coat, then do you buff the final product. the way you showing your job I will not access in any of my tub restoration, you work is only good enough for some rentals and not on price residents.
