      Connect it inside. run the fan from the bathroom door with the hose going out the nearest window or door. If it doesn't reach an additional extension hose will have to be connected so that most of the overspray properly exits.

    • @WjB_96792
      @WjB_96792 Год назад

      I generally caulk before i spray it. That caulk is a little more expensive but worth it. If you use standard caulk then you just caulk after you spray. Its dry to the touch pretty quick. Less than 30 mins.

    • @WjB_96792
      @WjB_96792 Год назад +1

      But you cant use standard tub and tile caulk and spray over it because it wont harden and will stay soft.

    I live in a co-op. And unfortunately my bathroom only has a fan in the ceiling. There is no window. How would you the professional take care of the spray. Where with that vent out to other than the fan in the ceiling. I’m afraid it would smell the Whole apartment up. Thank you

    • @bathtubrenew
      @bathtubrenew 2 года назад +1

      It’s going to smell no matter what, but only 10-16 hrs (depending on temperatures).
      However, refinishers would have 75 feet of hose on hand, that’s what I carry.

    when I sand my tile, it does NOTHING to them in regards to scratching them or scuffing them up.... anyone else experience this?

    • @mpgrealestatepodcast7175
      @mpgrealestatepodcast7175 2 года назад

      Yes! Generally people use a xxx acid etch to prep tile vs sanding. I’m guessing these guys have some sort of diamond sand paper or something. Your standard sand paper will not work, the resurface may stick for awhile but it won’t hold up.

    • @levi.walton13
      @levi.walton13 Год назад +2

      It looked like they were only sanding down the areas were old grout, caulk, or adhesion was. The hydrochloric acid was to etch the tile for prep/ a lasting product.

    This is the stingy landlord’s wait of “renovating”- bathtub. If you own your home, don’t even think about it. The steam from the shower will cause it to flake, peel, chip, and you’ll need to redo it every year. How do I know? I fell for it. Big mistake. A few years later I tore out the whole bathroom

  • @tonyburry9036
    @tonyburry9036 3 года назад +5

    So no regrout before refinishing the tiles!! Guess everyone does it differently! Nice job tho but consider regrout the tiles next time!!

    • @jgg204
      @jgg204 3 года назад +2

      The guy we use for tile refinishing will re-grout everything. Gives it a cleaner look. This look at the end...you could see the areas with low grout that either fell out or crumbled over the years etc

    • @GeiaCarterPR
      @GeiaCarterPR 3 года назад +8

      @@jgg204 if u regrout at the end, then the new grout is not protected by the glaze and is now susceptible to mold. If u Re-grouted prior to glazing, the glaze would’ve covered and protected the entire finish from mold.
