My Great Grandparents lived in Cookville late 50's-60's, I know they are buried down there somewhere. I remember bits and pieces about visiting Cookeville in probably the early 60's, they had a small farm off a 2 lane blacktop. I remember walking with great grand dad on a sandy path with wild flowers as far as the eye could see. I remember a gas station "downtown" and (1) red light in the downtown. As much as I would like to visit I don't know what I would be looking for except the burial site of my kin.
We are in our late 60's and had thought about moving to Cookeville. Looking at the comments below, should we worry about moving there? How is the crime rate? Thank you in advance for any insight you can give.
@@JM-pc3kq Thank you for the good news, we had planned for March, but changed our plans for July when we heard of the tornado. Hopefully you all are OK , but it looked really bad on video. Must have been horrific. Thank you again.
