Spot on, thanks, so many things about the ID3 I like but the infotainment system and softeware is dreadful....Onto my 3rd recall, first time took them 2 weeks to do a software update (so lost the car for two weeks), second time 24 hours but was left with so many bugs after the update it was beyond belief. This will be my last VW I think, love the EV, love the way it drives but they have software etc makes it beyond belief annoying.

I actually get nervous leaving my keys by the door as ive heard rumours of drivers having their ID4 vehicles stolen. They manage to get the information from the keys so now i keep my keys in a safe metal box. This s-pin feature sounds like a promising method of stopping these thieves. I assume you can tell the infortainment system to disable the car from driving if the incorrect s-pin has been entered?

Or dont enter the s-pin and drive away.. its not mandatory to use the car. Its only locking the user account behind a code

Thanks, I got my ID.3 upgraded today and I panicked. Now I know where to change it but I can't because under Garage I just get an error message "Cannot show this content now" 😖 I will have to try later and if not, contact the dealer on Monday

You are not alone. Backend issues at VW gives lots of users same issue like yours.

Phew, this morning it showed up and I was able to set it. But yesterday I tried so many times that the car locked me out for 24 hours. I may have to wait until tomorrow unless it checks when it starts and discovers I have reset it.
