    Having driven our id.3 now for at least 6 months we use b mode around town and is all most one pedal driving until you need too auto hold . The car has been faultless . So pleased we went electric. We,ve done about 4500 miles mostly around town. Saved us a fortune at the pumps. One cool car.

      Agreed Gary. Glad you're enjoying it 🙌

    I use B mode all the time around Town and D mode on dual carriageways / motorways ect. D mode allows the id.3 to coast. Our id.3 has been perfect . One very quiet comfortable car.

      I do that a lot too Gary. Thanks for your comment.

      Same here. D mode is good with the cruise control ON, as it becomes predictive cruise control. Basically, the car regulates the speed based on the street conditions. Slows down at round abouts and corners. Basically you only need to use the steering well.

      On the ID4, while driving can you shift from D to B without pressing the brake?

    I did a test drive in an iD3, the dealer didn't mention D and B mode, so I put it in D for drive and almost rear ended a car in front because there was no regen braking which I had been told about.

    Late to this video, but its worth saying that in `B` mode in an emergency stop situation, you are slowing significantly the instant you start lifting your foot from the accelerator and not just coasting until you've moved you foot to the brake pedal and fully depressed it. A significant fraction of a second saved and a reduced stopping distance - in an emergency any saving is worth having.

    It's not a brake pedal symbol but it's telling you to take your foot off the accelerator and coast to the roundabout/junction.

      No it's not.

    B around the town. Shame you cannot increase the regeneration, as for me needs to be a little stronger.

      I agree Matt, would be nice to have almost 1 pedal driving.

    D does not feel like neutral, it feels like a normal car when stepping off the accelerator. It does régen even in D mode. It's certainly not shocking in any sense.

      Feels like neutral to me in the ID3.

      @@CarSubscriber go down a hill... look at the green bar. It is fairly clever, will not allow the car to" suddenly" accelerate down a slope. However if you roll on a relatively flat surface it will let the car free roll.

    • @CarSubscriber
      @CarSubscriber  2 года назад +1

      @@F_wan That's right. Also slows down when approaching the rear of a car in front.

    • @gurratell7326
      @gurratell7326 Год назад

      Nope, letting the throttle up will not brake the car in any way, really annoying and feels quite dangerous. B IS the way to drive.

      @@gurratell7326 you know I own one of these cars. It will indeed do regen in D mode at times.

    Il faudrait aller en montagne pour comprendre l’intérêt de mode b
    Descendre en mode d revient à vouloir mourir ou alors il faut rétrograder avec l’embrayage d’où l’intérêt du mode b
