My Fx II was my most expensive single purchase when I bought it, but when I think how many hours I've used it, I've got to be the best value purchase of my life.
@@MOAB-UT you mean Axe Fx 3 mark 2 Turbo? It’s just overkill. I was happy with the Axe Fx 2XL+, it had enough features and horsepower for what I needed but the FM9 is a great upgrade from that because I wanted the complete all in one floor unit rather than buying a foot controller (‘I was using a berhinger with my axe fx 2) it also has all the modern updates like gapless preset and scene switching, masses and masses of delays and reverbs etc. you can still use 2 amps on the FM9. It has a really healthy amount of horsepower. Yes the 3 is the big daddy but I can’t recommmend an fm9 enough.
Your clipping in the red you have to turn your guitar input down on the axe fx

Hey man Great video. thank you for this. My question is why Axe-Fx III and not the Helix line 6 rack? And how do you feel towards the ToneX? does it even compete with the Axe-Fx III? Thanks in advance! cheers From Canada.
Thanks man! Quite honestly I’ve never used anything Helix. I’ve heard a few pedal using the Axe-Fx live and I liked it, as well watching a heap of videos & figured ‘screw it, I want one’. And so far it keeps blowing me away. No regrets. I haven’t done my research on the Tonex, I know it does amp captures. Does it come with captures already? Or do you need to have access to the amps in order to capture them..?
I will tell you how I gained a networth of 875000$ by age 35, I worked hard, saved, went without everything, lived on fumes, had a cheap as wedding, gave up all my interests to get ahead, sold stuff, had a cheap as phone, cashed in leave and sold work shares to pay down mortgage, saved every cent and threw it at the mortgage, then found out my wife cheated the whole time, ran off with a women who ran of with her and took 500k from her husband and then used to to leave me in a gutter starving and bleeding to death and homeless, so the moral of the story is f the house, by the fractal/headrush/helix/boss
True story? Are you OK now? You are saying your wife ran off with a woman? Ouch. If you have nearly a million, I would think the Axe-FX is a no-brainer.
bruh my last pedal was the boss from 12 years ago it sounded like shit!! stop playing guitar but now i want this!!! its all i ever wanted to play what ever metallica or megadeath tone
Oh dude! Dude! It’s seriously so amazing! They’re different, and I’m literally using my HeadRush tonight for a cover gig, so it’s not getting replaced. HR is good for just getting it done, no stuffing around, simple to use, sounds great & also very flexible. The Axe-Fx so far I’ve only scratched the surface. But quite honestly, it’s blown me away. The sound, the flexibility, the feel. Just, wow!
There’s a waiting list here in Aus. A shipment came in and was already spoken for, and I was told that for anyone wanting one there’s no definite time frame.
Good to see you've got your priorities in order! I'm planning to get the same unit but wondered if it feels like you're plugged into a real amp or not - could you maybe comment on that in your next video? Best wishes from Scotland.

@@MOAB-UTthe FM9 of course , big upgrade
@@Harrysound Tone, feel, UI? Why not Axe-FXX Mkii Turbo. I am looking at that...or FM9.

How do you like it. Is it Turbo? Did you get a foot controller? Like it more then say a FM9?

Would you run the aliasing test for me? Sine sweep from Logic Pro 20Hz to 20KHz (it a plugin inside Logic Pro X)
Aliasing on an axe fx?
@@Harrysound yes as all digital devices unfortunately
Dose fractal audio ship to Australia if you buy off there website
No entirely sure, but I think you need to go through a dealer, and the guy in Aus is Independent Music.

@@DaveWebbMusic interesting as I know people who prefer the helix but it sounded good for sure.
Everyone has their preference. I never used a Helix, but yeah there are heaps of people who choose it instead.

owning a house is overrated. why spend all that time in the hot sun doing yardwork, when you can stay indoors and be musically creative?
