This girl doesn't really know how to use a sword. Wild swings with the entire arm and zero sense of distance. It's the exact opposite of how you should use a dueling sabre.

Isaac Yeon Cheung would win for sure, look at how even the fight between Cheung and ip was but during ip vs ip Tin Chi, Ip man had an edge most of the fight. But yes, Ip Tin Chi would give a challenge

Ving Tsun teaches weapon against weapon. I study Ving Tsun in the Ip Man lineage, and my Sifu always stresses this point, so the choice represented here, to fight hands against weapon, seems odd to me.

When a certain level of mastery is achieved, we will know what we can handle. The moment someone depends on a weapon, its a indication of the confidence the other person has over their owns skills. When both factors are combined, though risky, we will have a decent chance of defeating the other person. We just gota be quick and not let them have the room to maneuver the weapon.

I kinda wish Ip had closer fights. I get it, the whole point is he's basically the Saitama of Wing-Chun, but...one of the best parts of any martial arts movie is seeing the protagonist adapt to people who've adapted to them, and we never see that. He never has to really adjust or alter his approach.
In his fight against Twister he had to incorporate the other masters moves because his Wing Chun relied too heavily on kicks.
That's the reason why I never liked Bruce Lee movies. Jackie Chan, Stephen Chow, even Jet Li are all doing it better. I am also tired by the Ip Man series for other reasons. Let's face it, there was hardly enough in the real Ip Man's life for one movie (and even there they had to make up ost of the events) but meanwhile it's pure fantasy. He could be a true new character but no ... so, I think there will never be any progress of his character, we'll just get more stonefaced high speed slapping and increasongly more ridiculous excuses to get into fights even though he doesn't want to fight.
But these movies still make a lot of money I guess so ...
