yes and no. Yuanjia alledgedly fought some foireign price fighters including an Irish boxer called O'Brien, but if any of these fights actually took place is debated, since there's no documented proof of it and it could also be propaganda. The whole last tournament of this movie is definitely pure fantasy. YuanJia didn't die during a fight, but suffered from consumption for a long time and just succumbed to it at some point. His body was exhumed and they found traces of arsen in his body, so it's possible that he was poisoned, but arsen was also part of chinese medicine at the time, so we also don't know that for sure. As a biopic this movie is a disingenous failure, but it's still a great film despite of this imo. The core message of learning humility and respect, overcoming hate and toxic aspirations is transported very well. Yuanjia deciding to not kill his opponent for a pointless win and dying at peace moves me til this day.
@@jc-kj8yc It's kind of a trope to do, but also very satisfying, to loop back around and connect to the opening scene. In the case of Fearless, it was to hearken back to the scene at the beginning where the character's father spared the bald man's life. At that point, the character finally understood why his father had pulled his punch, and he smiled in understanding, even as he fell to the ground dying.
@@anonygent exactly, but it's not just a callback to the beginning. It's the culmination of Huo's entire arc. It's built up through the first act. His father pulls his punch and Huo doesn't understand it. Then we see him practicing that punch excessively without understanding the why behind it. He becomes very successful, but also cruel and condescending. Making clear that he never learned the core message behind his craft. Then he gets into a fight he's losing and executes the technique without hesitation, leading to him losing everything. In the second act he learns from his mistakes and has a change of heart and in the third act, when push comes to shove again, he shows that his journey of understanding is complete and pulls the punch. It's a very simple, but perfectly executed structure.

@@VelvetMetrolink It is more relevant to compare the users proeficiency at their own style than to compare different arts. NO martial art will prove any worth in real life situations. All martial arts have their own set of base rules, that do not need to be present in other martial arts (and as such, cause incompatibilities clashing certain styles), and certainly not in real life situations. A judo practicioner will overcome a karate parcticioner in close quarters, but the latter will know this and never let that happen (which comes to a stalemate). and so on so on. Real life rarely has ideal situations like the ones practiced in martial arts, so rarely will you get alone with pure canonical martial arts.

Please tell name
Movie is called Fearless
Nathan Jones is a monster but can make a fight scene look good.
That's really a good fight, power is not everything you may have some skills too and this clip also has a nice message for everyone.
This is the actual spirit of martial art. 🙏
It's really a great video 🙏🙏
Jet li é muito bom pena que o tempo passa e não tem mais caras igual ele
How do feel about lesser types of people?
Donnie from ip man isn’t too bad
The producers make awesome and mind blowing movies.
Great sportsmanship at the end 🙏🏽👍🏽
Победила ДРУЖБА!!! Всем Добра Здоровья!!!

Ótima coreografia de luta que inspira qualquer pessoa que goste de kung fu, muito legal.
What's great about this movie is that it's all based on true stories, including this fight.
Classic match of Brain vs Brawn 👊🏽
That big man? A boxer? He looks and moves more like a WWE wrestler!
Correct. He is professional wrestler. Name - nathan jones
Kickboxer
@MrBiKÉHØliC kmmkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkoklllk
q
He was in wwe actually...
Strongman ,kickboxer , wrestler
Was always my favorite jet li movie
Man says, "Let's fight with honor", translates to "He wants to kick your butt". Now I know who has been writing these subs and dubs.
No man. The ringmaster actually said that. He misreported the message on purpose for the benefit of a violent and entertaing show because he's a prick
Poor Nathan Jones, always getting beaten up by tiny men.
i know right
+Andrew Wang watch the film Muay Tai Giant, it has a Taiwan name i forget but hes the protagonist at the ending fight has him against like 3 guys bigger than him, its a cheesy movie but super awesome fights.
TH Guy
I think you mean a Thai name, "The Protector" starring Tony Jaa?
dyla.OK
Because the world ain't run by men with brawns. But it is ruled by men with money and brains. Money beats down even big man like Nathan Jones. Money is everything. Money makes anyone your bitch.
Watching Hero in the theatre when it came out was my favorite fighting movie seeing on the big screen. This fight was very cool as the whole way through the movie Jet Li's character grew to be more honorable.

Great respect 👍💪🙌
Nathan should come back into the WWE
We miss him
he quits wwe bc of the brutal schedule
I did not hold back...I did not go full force but that's why my ripples globally and universally are positioned for great, lasting relationships with new found understanding with the best of the old with the unknow possibilities of collective advancement... wasn't about me or winning
Really enjoyed respect
Chinese martial or English action, neither matters but humanity is a above all......😍
The announcer & I hav a lot in common, we be instigating fights. Me, when 2 of my nephews are in the same room 🤣
More and more people are now awake about the diff. between "Chinese Martial Arts" and "Real Fight".
Kung Fu will get you your ass kicked against someone with equivalent experience in BJJ or Catch or Boxing for sure. Against your average aggressive drunken idiot though, it can come in handy.
Real life rarely has ideal situations like the ones practiced in martial arts, so rarely will you get alone with pure canonical martial arts.
your commenary is (stupid)out the topic becasue that is a mvoie no real fight, are you from USA right?
