Best Iranian ice cream you can get in the US. I can't count how many times I came to Mashti Malone's for their saffron rosewater ice cream. It's the best. Wish I could get their ice cream now, but I live over an hour away from there.

After 1 year I wanna answer your question. that's frozen cream (mainly high fat above 60 percent)! it's one of main materials of Persian traditional ice cream.
It's armenian and try to pronounce everything different from american english like the a should be spoken hard like the a in about and also the g should sound like the g in girl or glass and for the janian part try to say jahnian or jawniyan☺

And I also know what aga (rich sir or landlord) and jan ( my life, my dear, soul) and Ian at the end means. For example igorian means son of igor or it indicates that the person is of armenian blood.
Their ice cream is pretty good......but, Gol Bol Bol is better. Akbar Mashti has been skimping on the cream chunks and pistachios. Try the Gol Bol Bol and you will see the difference. Their main shop is in Westwood. They are pricier....but, oh so worth it.

The bright yellow has 0 artificial colors, it's entirely saffron. They lose a lot of money on that flavor because of how much saffron they use

Not all surnames ending with "-ian" are Armenian. Many non-Armenian Iranians have surnames ending with "-ian"
It's not uncommon
Her surname means "From Agha Jan" = Aghajanian
Jan = dear
