Interview with Dan Schueftan, Security Expert and Former Advisor to the Israeli Prime Minister

- Dr. Dan Schueftan is Head of the International Graduate Program in National Security at the University of Haifa, was Director of the Center for National Security Studies at the University (2008-2018), Visiting Professor (2012-2014) in the Department of Government at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and lectures at the Israel Defense Forces National Defense School. He has served as an advisor to leading Israeli institutions including the Prime Minister's Office, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Defense, the IDF, and the National Security Council. He regularly lectures at leading universities, research centers and think tanks around the world. He has written for major international media outlets and published extensively on modern Middle Eastern history, with an emphasis on Arab-Israeli relations, intra-Arab politics, and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.

Dr. Scheuftan is always worth listening to - straight talk, accurate and amazingly witty. Very rare in today’s world.
Schueftan sounds a lot like Douglas Murray, save from an Israeli perspective rather than a British one. They are saying a lot of the same things. I deeply respect them both for their spectacular oratory abilities, logical thinking, and values.

@@alexandershtabsky3993 well I had no problems when turning up the volume & I prefer to focus on the positives and how good the conversation was and how lucky and grateful I am to be able to hear the men talk instead of focusing on the low volume. You do you and I’ll do me.
@@loridenise5639 I have been listening Dan Schueftan for years in both English and Hebrew (don't know German or Arabic to listen him in those two) and hope to continue, the high quality of the speaker has nothing to do with a low quality of the record. The problem is I can't advise this video to other people not familiar with D.S. due to the record quality. Regardless, your last sentence earned my like.
@@alexandershtabsky3993 I’m not here to earn likes. I just recently found Dan. It’s only second time I heard him speak. I had no issues with hearing him and I will admit I’m a little hard of hearing when it comes to accents and I had no problem whatsoever hearing Dan speak.

Dr Schueftan remains the best strategic analyst of Israel and of her neighbours' attitude towards her. He is wrong about Trump. Trump follows Kissinger's strategic view, often called 'Realpolitik': Russia has to be accommodated and should not be provoked, therefore Trump formulated 'Let's increase trade and decrease nuclear weapons'. The US Military-Industrial Complex (Eisenhower; 1961) disagreed
You need to get neck mics for your interviews. The sound without is too low in quality and with too much echoe.
