just the same story. Sisi (which is this series) and the Empress (netflix) are based on the stroy of Elisabeth “Sisi” von Wittelsbach when she became the Empress of Austria :) there is another old movie with this same plot. :)
@@theraven6843 von ein paar Nebenrollen abgesehen, Desiree Nosbusch ist hier eine rühmliche Ausnahme, spielen die noch schlechter als in der Schmonzette der 50er. Und dann dieses Drehbuch, Jessas!
@@reginakniprode246 Maybe you are more critical because it is in your own language ( I’m Belgian, Flemisch, and have to read the Dutch subtitles while listening to the German language) so I can understand your opinion! for me it is beautifully spoken, the costumes magnificent and the story interesting, but then again, what I mean, it isn’t the history of my land or kingdom and I really respect your opinion! ❤
@@theraven6843 i don't mind a cheesy love story that shits on the real facts or costumes that have zero to do with the history. i think the actors are horrible but as a german you're used to that. What bothers me deeply is the illogic of the plot. does the Queen seriously go to bed after a ball with clothes on and wake up next to her dead child? Does she have no servants, no doctors? or the pycho brat she brings into the house? What's the point? And the emperor as a deranged warlord... my goodness...
@@reginakniprode246 Omg you are very eloquent! My respect! I re-watched some episodes and binge-watched what was left of the second season now and must agree with you on several facts, but what made you so bitter towards German actors, for example I remember looking at ‘die Blechtrommel’ when I was young (‘79) in cinema and I will never forget how magnificent it was. It went worldwide!!! I have also seen other German productions that al also liked very much! Greetings of your left neighbour.
I had an honor toparticipate in this movie as an extra actor. Some scenes were done in Vilnius, Lithuania.
