Elisabeth of Austria, Empress Sissi, and Sissi Queen of Hungary! She was one of my favorite queens. I saw the 3 movies which were made in the 50s with actress Romy Schneider playing Sissi. She was a Queen ahead of her time, who exercised everyday, took showers rather than bath since she asked to be installed a shower in her private bathroom, something similar to the showers we use today. Sissi was indeed an animal lover but hated the protocol and restrictions of the monarchy and preferred the simple life. Unfortunately, she was stabbed to death by an Italian anarchist while walking on the sidewalk accompanied by her maid. There should be descendants of Sissi having 4 children and being so closed to the 1900s. But her son died young being an adult, and so her younger daughter who was only 3 years-old. LOVE Sissi, being down to earth, very beautiful woman, and so kind and caring Queen who loved animals. The people loved Sissi and the Hungarian people loved her also. As I said above, Sissi was my favorite Queen! May God blessed her soul for all her eternity 🙏🌹 Very beautiful video about Empress Sissi of Austria and the palace. She did her duty, gave a male offspring, and when they grew up and male offspring killed himself and his lover, her world in Vienna, ended and she moved on. But by then anarchy was in the winds of the soon incoming 19th century. People were beginning to hate the upper classes and the ruling authority As a woman, in Austria, it didn't matter much that she was Empress and was murdered. And no one went to war. Not till the end of the gentile times, in 1914, when the life everyone knew and loved (despite poverty among the poorest of people) ended.
She disliked Vienna- avoiding the imperial capital city as much as possible (especially after she bore her children) and would have disliked it being termed 'Sisi's Vienna!' Ironically, virtually every tourist venue in Vienna has souvenirs with her image (alongside Mozart's) dominating the displays. If one didn't know history and the fact that he'd died nearly a half century before her birth, one would think that she and Mozart had been a COUPLE via those displays!

Elisabeth princess of Bavaria was not meant to become Empress of Austria at first place. Marriages back then inside the aristocracy were like business. Toddlers and even babies were already scheduled to their future husband or wife. Sisis elder sister Helene was chosen and had been educated since childhood to fulfill her role as the Empress when she was old enough. But then at the family gathering where the announcement of their engagement should take place, the Emperor saw Sisi, a young wild untamed girl who grew up with nature and fell in love with her. Sisi was never happy with being an empress, she just wanted to habe s happy life with Franzjosef which was not possible as they both had primarily and most important to fullfill their political task. Poor Sisi and poor rejected despised Helene.
And I am a complete doppelganger of her and I share many many other things more with her together! And people who see her and me together on my many comparison photos say that this is so amazing and stunning how similar we both are like I am a clone of her! This is for me a wonderful and special treasure which I keep deeply embedded in my heart and soul and mind if I look at the mirror and see her face in it in color and somehow alive! That's it!
