I like how master oogway was so confident in things working out that he never even tried to leave the spirit world. He trusted in Po and Shifu completely to keep the valley safe and come out on top no matter what.
Facts
Something to point out is that Oogway leaving in the first films was done with the purpose of bringing Shifu and Po to their full potential. If he hadn’t left, they wouldn’t have been properly motivated to train together and grow.
I very much highly suggest the “how to train your dragon” trilogy. It has the same epic feel as this but in its own way.

I envy those who are able to look past its problems.
As a movie, it was pretty good, but as a httyd sequel/ending, my god it sucked. It's depressing how it had to end on a bad note.

The fact that for me this is probably the weakest film in the trilogy, yet it’s still maaaad enjoyable and is not only better than most other animated films out right now, but one of the best third entries in a trilogy to date goes to show the quality of this series. 10/10 reaction as always my guy 🔥🙏🏽

I like Kung Fu Panda 3 more than other people do. Let me start by saying that I watched the movie before the trailer. For some reason, DreamWorks decided to spoil the conclusion of the movie in the trailer, along with many other things from the movie. So people might think I’m a little biased on this, but in my opinion, Kung Fu Panda 3 is the best in the franchise. In Kung Fu Panda 2 (the favorite of most people), Lord Shen attacked the panda village, but there was nobody to save them. In Kung Fu Panda 3, Kai attacks the village and Po has to save them. Which was the perfect idea for the third installment of this franchise.
One thing that people hate about this movie was the “disappointing” villain defeat. But I don’t think people exactly understand it. Po didn’t actually “give” Kai his chi. He used his chi as a weapon just like Kai did. He wasn’t actually trying to overload him with power, Po was just using the power to kill him. Po had the chi of all the pandas and his own chi to fight with. Kai usually takes the masters’ bodies along with the chi and carries them around as amulets, but he didn’t when Po “gave” his chi to Kai. That’s why it was too much. If he just used a tiny bit of the chi to attack Kai, Kai would’ve been able to harness that chi and use it for power. Which makes the line “The more you take, the less you have.” more meaningful.
But what I love the most about the villain defeat, is that Kai spent over 500 years just trying to be the most powerful warrior ever just to lose by a landslide. When he was up against Po’s true Dragon Warrior form, he got absolutely obliterated by true power. Po showed Kai that he only had a fraction of the power that Po had after Kai beat so many warriors just to get people to know his name. Which is what makes the line “I am the Dragon Warrior.” so dang good!
Another thing I love about this movie is the panda village and Po’s lack of training. Po needs to train to face the most powerful villain yet. Li Shan told him that he could journey to the panda village with the other pandas that survived Lord Shen’s attack to learn chi. Li convinced Po that pandas knew chi and could teach him by helping him understand who he is. But he got no real training and still had a deadly monster coming his way. People also say that Ping was out of character in the movie because of his jealousy. But this is incorrect for 2 reasons. First, he acted the same way in the Kung Fu Panda holiday special. Second, he barely got any screen time throughout the first 2 movies, so nobody really knew what could be considered in or out of character.
Throughout the movie, they show the panda village and Po having a great time. Which makes the audience forget about the whole learning chi thing, by making him get to do all the regular panda activities with his kind. But they brought up chi every once in a while to give everyone a taste of concern for Po since he still had no experience with chi. And when they got the message that Kai was coming, he learned that there was no way for him to master chi because nobody else knew it. This was the moment that it felt the most hopeless in the trilogy. He had nothing left except for a village of pandas. But as he starts to truly become the Dragon Warrior, he makes the most out of it. He trains the village to fight and defend themselves from the masters. Which was just like watching Po train in the first movie, but 10 times better.
Most people like Shen the most, but General Kai is the best villain in my opinion. He may not have been intimidating, but he had really great villain lines. When Shifu said "Oogway, forgive me." Kai held up the chi amulet of Oogway and said "What do you say, Oogway? Do you forgive him?" Also, his music was obviously the best villain music in existence. Not to mention his weapon, fight style, or entrances. Also, the first two villains were chased by Po and the Furious Five. But Kai was the only villain who did the chasing. Instead of Po hunting him down, Kai would find Po and the others no matter where they ran. Po even said “There’s nowhere to run.” This made Kai felt very unstoppable, which was just as good as being intimidating.
Tai Lung and Lord Shen are both villains that people feel bad for, but Kai is just a really terrible person. They made Kai very unique. It was refreshing to see a super powerful villain that everyone wanted to see get destroyed. Most people know that Kung Fu Panda 1, 2, and 3 have the themes of body, mind, and spirit. But there’s more to it than that. In Kung Fu Panda, Tai Lung hurt hurt the characters’ bodies by beating them. In Kung Fu Panda 2, Lord Shen hurt hurt Po’s mind by killing his mother when Po was a baby. In Kung Fu Panda 3, General Kai hurt hurt the characters’ spirits by defeating Oogway, enslaving most of the characters, and destroying the jade palace.
I don't even need to talk about comedy or animation in this movie. Nearly everyone already agrees that comedy, and animation in Kung Fu Panda 3 is better than in first two movies. The music in Kung Fu Panda 3 is easily the best. It has Kai’s theme, and the final battle music is so much better than the music from the other movies. Also, the action is amazing! The scene of Kai beating Tigress, Shifu, Monkey, and Viper had perfect fight choreography.
A lot of people don’t like that the Furious Five didn't do much but I think I need to remind people that this movie is in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Not "The Furious Five" franchise. I was happy seeing the Furious Five get a lot of spotlight in Kung Fu Panda 2, the movie wouldn’t be half as great without that. But I am extremely happy that they didn’t do the same thing for Kung Fu Panda 3. Because in Kung Fu Panda, first Tigress, Monkey, Crane, Viper, and Mantis were defeated, then Shifu was defeated. In Kung Fu Panda 2 they fought alongside Po. In Kung Fu Panda 3, Po had to fight Shifu and all the other masters except Tigress. I don't get how people think this is the worst or second best in the franchise. I think it's better than Kung Fu Panda 1 and 2 combined.

In the video u questioned who would win between Tai Lung or Kai and the answer would have to be Kai. When Kai captures Viper, and Monkey and if u pause at the right moment u can see that Tai Lung had already been captured by Kai at some point.
Would have been sick to see Kai unleash Tai Lung as a green zombie. But prob he kept Tail Lung's chi to himself along with Oogway's, never using them as those chis would have enhanced his strength a lot

Loved the reactions! Kai actually defeated Tai-Lung in the spirit world, there's an easter egg just after Kai takes Viper's chi , you can see all the master he trapped into the little green stones. There is one stone with Tai-Lung face on it. It's at 18:39, it's hard to see with youtube's compression but you can see it a little in slow motion. It's the second one starting from the left.
Even without that shot, Tai-Lung was banished to the spirit realm just like Kai so he was one of the masters that Kai would have taken the Chi of as he said in the opening scene

I always really liked how everything worked there and how sophisticated it was. When you take someone's chi and die, their chi returns to them. A lot of people didn't understand how Kai died, Po's chi didn't destroy him, but the fact that he was wearing a lot of them. Of course, you can take chi from a dragon warrior, but it's so strong that it's like wearing 10 of them, and if you wear some at that time and there are enough of them, it will destroy you. For example, some people don't understand how Jindiao in Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny could have so much chi without dying. It was because he was an ancient being and could own as much chi as he wanted, along with Po's chi. He was a dragon, so it's no wonder, dragons are magical and very powerful, and it was also because Jindiao was the first dragon warrior.
Brutal way to go though. The entire panda village's chi overwhelmed his body, like an overdose. Eventually the heat and pressure of the chi caused him to explode, before screaming a final "no" as he was dying.
Kai easily has one of my favorite villian themes out of any trilogy animated or live action. Love this movie.

Did anyone notice how what oogwey said in the beginning ties into the ending when Po beat Kai? In case no one remembers he said "The more you take the less you'll have." That's exactly what happened because Kai absorbed so much chi from Po that he lost literally everything even his life. That's some grade A story writing right there.
This is such a feel good series, I really hope there isn't a 4th movie cause 3 wrapped everything up SO well and I'd be nervous about how a 4th would be done but if there will be another one I'll definitely watch!! It was a fun ride and I'm glad you got to watch and enjoy this series!!! It was fun to watch!

They originally had 2 trilogies planned, I believe, but I think they reconsidered due to how well it all ended.
I think its delayed cuz of covid, why didnt they announce it was cancelled if it was, or maybe i dont get the announcement.

There are still a couple of things unexplained. Oogway basically killed himself in the first movie. Why though? With Tai Lung soon to arrive, is it that he got old enough, he had to leave or maybe he wanted to let Shifu and Po fulfill their destiny themselves?
Oogway left because as long as he was around, Shifu would never become who he was meant to be, and thus Po wouldn't either. He had to leave to force Shifu to take charge, learn to conquer his demons and trust another student again.
There’s the possibility of there being 6 films in total but there hasn’t been any news of there being a sequel.
I know it's already perfect being 3 movies, but I can't help but want more
You need to watch the specials now (Secrets of the Furious Five, Secrets of the Masters, and Secrets of the Scroll) if you want some other lore on this world. Even though it's not considered "canon", I also highly recommend you watch the series Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness--it's hilarious, goofy as hell, and surprisingly well-written.
Legend of awesomeness gets quite a bit of hate from fans due to out of character moments. I sort of agree but they are episodes and moments when they are good and likable in them. Plus it takes between the first and second film which explains pos behaver due to him earning the dragon warrior title making himself feel cocky and over confident in himself so when we see 2 and 3 he is more mature. Also I agree with the being goofy as hell and funny. It's so stupid that I find it enjoyable and action packed to. It's visuals and presentation was solid for film to show transetion as well.
The onlg thing i hate bout legend of awesomeness is that they nerfd hardly the furious five and shifu, literally all the villains (except kipa) could've been defeated by any of the F5 of the movie alone, also, is not very consistant, in one chapter they show us a mature po, very skilled and smart but in the next an inmature and very silly but i pass this one cuz is a kids show and well, you can't ask them a lot. But i totally agree that it's hilarious and goofy (and it also show us more tigress and po moments, call me crazy but i see potential in this shipp)
My only issue with this trilogy was that they didn't make more use of Jackie Chan! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH and here he is an animated Kung-fu film and he has 5 lines in each movie😭 I'm gald the last one gave him more lines

Out of all the villains I'd definitely say Kai was the most difficult to defeat seeing how powerful he is being a spirit and it was absolutely satisfying seeing Po finally harness the energy to defeat him. Another thing I found out that's amazing is that the person who voiced Po's real dad also played Walter White from Breaking Bad I didn't even know it was him the first time I watched it since it was just his voice but after looking at the credits I was surprised.
I love the Kung Fu Panda Movies and if you watch to see more of this Franchise I highly recommend to watch the 4 Short Special and the 2 Series to have the Full Kung Fu Panda experience,also let's hope that the 4th one appears in the Future.

Kung Fu Panda's first trilogy started with a young panda becoming an amateur to a full fledged master.
I imagine they want another trilogy of him as an adult to maybe an old man? I mean with the usual pattern, they'd probably introduce some kind of love interest.
And then eventually perhaps Po as a father himself. That's a typical wuxia type of thing.
This is an awesome trilogy, for me personally I've always loved the second one ever since I first watched it back then

I'd have to say the 2nd was the best by a small margin. Thank Hans Zimmer for the epic scores! On to HTTYD next hopefully, the other perfect animated trilogy. I personally regard HTTYD as slightly better, also thinking the 2nd movie is the best there as well.
Fun fact, did you notice that in order to take chi, Kai reverses the movement the pandas use to give it
Believe it or not when you look at Kai’s belt of people, he has Tai Lungs on his chain so he did indeed beat Tai Lung, as powerful as he was he still lost as easy as the others did

When you get a chance, highly recommend Rise of the Guardians (2012). Bombed at the box office, but just as great as this!
Cool fact: Kai did defeat Tai long in the spirit realm. You can see tai long as one of the green jades on his hip when Kai first shows master oogway.
Fun fact if you look closely you can see that Kai took ty lung’s chi as well, he got him after po sent him there in the first film
I’m gonna say it, because no one ever mentions it. Let’s talk about how Kai whipped All these Kung Fu Masters, without practicing or knowing ANY kung fu, all he needs is his blades, chi and warrior techniques.

Po's Panda father voice actor is Bryan Craston. So, Primate, if you haven't seen breaking bad yet, I REALLY think you should and everyone would love it

Some animated movies off the top of my head (no Ghibli because i heard they like to throw around copyright strikes):
Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Animatrix, Perfect Blu, Paprika for some serious or sci-fi action vibes. Land before time (if you wanna cry), Iron Giant, An American Tail for some older non-disney classics. Mary and Max for a quirky heart-felt stop motion movie.

This series and How to Train Your Dragon are up there for movie trilogies of all time, with HTTYD being number one. I love animated movies, and DreamWorks really delivers on some of these series. Kai actually has Tai Lung talisman on him. So he beat Tai Lung in the spirit world.

I highly recommend How to Train Your Dragon series as it's one of my favorites and so well done. I like your love for Master Oogway as I enjoyed him so much in the first movie and glad we got to see him again too in this movie. I thought this was a good ending too for this series so I'm surprised they are planning more.

I almost paused the movie when Po said that.
I loved kung fu panda 1 and 2 but 3 was still great and funny, it's actually the best in terms of comedy but in terms of plot and characters while good is the weakest. But the animation, voice acting, comedy, music, action and characters plus their interactions are just as good as the first two. Worth a watch definitely. Even the specials and holiday one are good to. The shows are fun and funny to. Basically I love the kung fu panda franchise even tho I'm 30 years old lol.
Great conclusion to this series. And you should watch Batman: Year One. It would be a good movie to lead into The Batman

If you want to try more animated movies I'd highly recommend the Studio Ghibli movies like Spirited Away
There isn't a fourth Kung Fu Panda but there is a tv show or two that expand on PO and the others.

Loving these reactions like I love these movies. Jack Black's work is special and so are the movies he did before. The Pick Of Destiny, epic and essential viewing. Nacho Libre, old school slap stick made new and relevant, just awesome.

I honestly didn’t know there was a Kung Fu Panda 4 in the works. Interested to see where it goes.
Also I like how the trilogy ends with Po becoming the Dragon Warrior in the way we expected he would in the first movie. But he could only do it once he completes his journey and becomes a true master.
You mentioned you wondered who would win between Kai and Tai Lung. Well that has technically already happened because Kai has taken Tai Lung’s chi.
If you look at the amulets when Kai takes Monkey and Viper. At 18:40, if you look all the way to the left next to mantis, there’s an amulet of Tai Lung

You should definitely react to "Atlantis" and "Treasure Planet" if you haven't seen them.

Future Animated Reactions -- Two series where the sequels hold up nicely -- Toy Story 1-4 and How to Train Your Dragon 1-3. Some Disney / Pixar favorites -- Coco, Up, Moana, Aladdin. Studio Gibli favorites (the originals are in Japanese but have been dubbed into English about as well as you can using major American stars) -- Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Grave of the Fireflies.
