I personally love the fact that this movie ends with Po training EVERYONE. Kung Fu is no longer something taught to a select few students in a secret mountain temple. It now belongs to everyone. Like Oogway said, I see the future of Kung Fu
Is totally the opposite,now is like is less important,seams random persons who NEVER care about it and know NOTHING about it random can achieve that with no sense for no reasons in 4 minutes except with strong work of body,mind and spirit,they downgrade the entire mean of first and second movie,the 3 is a disaster like httyd 3 is so less than the first 2,both with a terrible villain copy of the previous and less powerful and with many random things,the thing of the CHI have nothing about what the movie talking about also,the only thing good of this movie is the thing about the 2 dads,and that should be the ONLY theme of this movie,it will be much better talk only about family and not add that random thing of "everyone random know everything about an important thing of kung fu in like 10 seconds at the end" pleeease

@@LiaLunaMiyano the kung fu in the movie isn't about learning cool moves, its more about learning something that's deep to you, Po is the movies didn't get a power boost from physical training, he got his power boosts from finding and understanding himself and his people.

Fun fact the blades that kai uses are the broken bits of his staff that oogway broke at 13:35 in the reaction. The blades were on each end and he just took them off and turned them into blades

What a great trilogy. Even if they’re not all equal each film builds on the other in a satisfying way that leaves you content.

The troligy has no bad movies some are good some are great there is no bad ones.
Just a note: i believe that Oogway was the one who betrayed Kai; he was a young ambitious warrior seeking to conquer China leading an army of his own. You don't get best friend with the widow maker, jade assassin and beast of vengeance if you are a good guy. I thikn Oogway had a change of heart while Kai remained the same, from his point of view Oogway did betray him.

From oogways POV he was being bad and greedy ya know and just taking other peoples chi and just putting them in prison
I think it was like maybe 500 years ago? Yeah there's a possibility oogway did change while kai had to remained the same, Afterall, betrayal will remain inside you knowing how painful to feel being betrayed of someone you love, That pain will last longer and that you'll never forget or neither let go
Truly, Kai is one of the most menancing characters i've seen He actually deserves more recognition i don't sympathize with this man but he needs to be recognized for he's amazing character, He's top 2 on my best villain list (The top 1 is Lord shen since he has the type of character i want, He's like the emotional state Villain for Po and he's a great villain to my opinion)

so if oogway was an ass and have a change of heart, but then denied tai lung who was just a kid that got trained his whole life instead of help him become better? damn that would be some D-moves
18:49 Actually, Kai is right. From Kai's titles, we can tell that they were the bad guys. Only after the pandas healed Ogway and taught him about chi. Ogway then changed and became good.

I'm only 7 minutes in but I'm already noticing something beautiful. In the first film, Po hates who he is and begs Shifu to make him better. In this film, Po likes who he is and Shifu is asking him to still want to be better. I love that

Shifu and the Five go immediately from being annoyed/angry at Po to rejoicing that he found his father! Kung fu artifacts habe nothing on family!

Ever notice how Kai never used Oogway in battle after capturing him? I always found that interesting. That, and the fact that he also didn’t use Tai Lung (who was sent to the Spirit Realm by Po in the first film), who was also captured by Kai in the Spirit Realm.
I have not researched, but I believe he might not use Tai Lung and Oogway because they may have been too hard to control (Tai Lung seemed much more skilled to me than anyone other than Ooqway, so both of them could've been defeatable in the battle, that leads to them being captured, yet it would've been too complex to also use them in the battle in comparison to the others)
@@fabian5832 it could have been also that oogway was his brother so he had more respect for him and dint want to abuse him as a puppet and as for tai lung, it was more likely just a cameo but again it could have been cause he didnt see him worthy
I think Kai didn't use Tai Lung and Oogway is because both of them are for backups just incase something got to him unexpectedly

The Chi's he took powered him. So if he used all of the Jombies at once he wouldn't be as powerful as he is. So by keeping the stronger ones ( Oogway and Tai Lung)

I completely agree that the Kung Fu Panda trilogy is one of the strongest, most consistent trilogies ever made. They're all really good. Its hard to rank them, but this one in particular, to me, is the funniest of the bunch. Can't wait for How to Train Your Dragon :)

Underrated for a reason. This one was the weakest. Still great in some circles, but non-comparable to 1 and 2.
Fun fact: You might not notice it, but Kai also has Tai Lung's Chi in his collection and as we remember, Po used the wushi finger hold on Tai Lung to banish him to the Spirit Realm. Tai Lung might've ended up with a fight with Kai on his conquest to collect all Kung Fu masters on the Realm. Some says the only reason Kai didn't unleashed Tai Lung in the final fight, is because he's saving the best fighter to act as his bodyguard. Sorry for my bad English.

I would say the Wuxi Finger Hold doesn’t kill people per se. Po shouldn’t have come back to the living world if he was truly dead. It just banishes you to the spirit realm.
*Fun fact (who didn't knew it):* Kai's theme in this movie is a cover of the Imagine Dragons song "I'm so sorry".

One of the best animeted movies of ever! But I think the first is still legendary. Really like how we knew Po's and Oogway's pasts in this movie and also in the second one, I remember that I was really shocked when I saw Po's biological dad for the first time XD. Awesome movie and awesome reaction!

Well it's kind of a universal lifeforce in chinese culture so...yeah.....makes sense...
I think in this context, it was more that he was impressed that he was able to channel it outside of a 'save my son' emergency.
The dirty joke at 15:12 got me. My dumplings, then had to specify which kind.
I always really liked how everything worked there and how sophisticated it was. When you take someone's chi and die, their chi returns to them. A lot of people didn't understand how Kai died, Po's chi didn't destroy him, but the fact that he was wearing a lot of them. Of course, you can take chi from a dragon warrior, but it's so strong that it's like wearing 10 of them, and if you wear some at that time and there are enough of them, it will destroy you. For example, some people don't understand how Jindiao in Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny could have so much chi without dying. It was because he was an ancient being and could own as much chi as he wanted, along with Po's chi. He was a dragon, so it's no wonder, dragons are magical and very powerful, and it was also because Jindiao was the first dragon warrior.

Love how shifu isnt even questioning that Poh got the Staff from ogway. "ofc he did..." 😂
true true true, a trilogy where three movies where sooo good, it is rare
well, to put it into perspective: think of Kai commanding this jade zombies like puppets. not only does he have to command each one, which isn't hard for him per say but would be with multiple ones at once, but also remembering what each one can do. now add the unpredictability of Po and his "trained" panda family who's unknown ways of fighting would confuse him and you have a pretty good fight scene with everyone distracting the Jombies while Po fights Kai.

Kai only defeated Oogway, because Oogway didn't really fight! Oogway said: "It was never my destiny to stop you". If Oogway had fought really, then he would defeat Kai easily, because Oogway is the founder of kung fu and the strongest kung fu panda character!
I really doubt that given how many souls Kai had absorbed before fighting Oogway

It's the perfect trilogy, kungfu panda (body), kungfu panda 2 (mind) and kungfu panda 3 (spirit). They have done this beautifully.
23:29, and transference of skills from one area to another was how Shifu trained Po in the first movie
The scene where Po is training the Furious five but then realized he failed to do so and injured them badly, It actually brings back the old memories where po first trained in the palace I love how they bring back each first and second part of the film and it really doesn't change the mood from kung fu panda at all, They make sure it will be the same audience as from before, I appreciate dreamworks for this they really know how to caught up the reaction of the viewers and doesn't really want to disappoint the fans since this was my childhood movie
Also, they are still going through amazing quotes that touches the heart of each person who might be struggling from mental problems Etc. Its still cool and heartwarming hopefully if they're going to make a another kung fu movie i would be sure to love it and be amazed and touched by new quotes
I think what's great about these movies is it shows Po's growth in the 3 principles for Kung Fu. A Strong Body, A Strong Mind and a Strong Spirit are the 3 principles of being a Kung Fu Master. Having a strong body to use the tools you learn. Having a strong mind to achieve inner peace with ones self in the world. And having a strong spirit to be at one with the world and nature itself.
7:16, exactly. After the first movie was about mastery of Kung Fu, the second needed something more supernatural so it was the Inner Peace Power and this now tops that with Chi

If he had Tai Lung or Oogway used in this movie, it would've been my favorite KFP movie by far, but my favorite is probably the first.

I will never understand the hate of Kung Fu Panda 3. It's still gorgeous animated, the characters still have the same spark, the soundtrack still is beautifull; and still there is an important message to learn. I love the Kung Fu Panda franchise.

Honestly after kung fu panda 3 I want Tigress movie All about, Tigress finding out about her past, when she stumbles across another Male Tiger. They could have, her being part of a tiger royal family. But they got attacked, which caused her to be a orphan, I really want Tigress to have her own movie. so, she can find about her past, and Shifu finally gives Tigress the father love she needed all the years. Then Tigress start to take interest with the male tiger who helped find out about her past.
