      @@CallOneInc Thanks for the clarification! The 330 USD version would do fine in my case :)
      Price tag still way above average, but if quality is also way above average, I'm okay with that. Price in EU will most likely 1:1, so 330 EUR.
      Looking forward to the several comparison videos. Greatly appreciated!

    Hi, great video! Can anyone tell me when you have the ANC on, does it give you the negative pressure in the ears? This is what puts me off about new headsets. Thanks. :) Also How well does the office version work?

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  2 года назад

      Hi Digital Diva! There are three types of ANC. Jabra has a nice brief article explaining the differences: www.jabra.com/blog/anc-headsets-arent-all-the-same-three-types-of-anc/
      Unlike ANC headphones and headsets with speakers that completely cover your ears, the Voyager Focus 2 speakers are on-ear speakers. You can adjust noise canceling level for your personal preference with three options of Advanced Digital Hybrid active noise canceling (ANC)-high, low and off. When I tested, I didn't get the pressure like I do with some of the other ANC headphones with circumaural speakers like the Bose, Sony and Microsoft models. When Poly uses "Office" in their nomenclature, they are referring to the the inclusion of a "base" that supports multi-connectivity. In most cases a desk phone and computer. However, you dp have the option to purchase the Voyager Focus 2 UC which is the headset + dongle. Your personal connectivity needs will determine which model is best for you. Hope this helps.

      @@CallOneInc Hi. This is great advice. Thank you for replying. I have Jabra Evolve 65 and the negative pressure was too much of some apps, felt like the air got sucked out of my ears! :)

    I've used Plantronics headsets for many years, I'm on my 3rd focus uc, I have an 8200 and several Voyager Edges and 5200's. I just received the office 2 way version with the connectivity base. I'm praying I have a bad unit, but this is terrible. The ANC is broken, as soon as I turn it on it's sounds like electrical interference of some kind/static. Then when I'm on a call, or when the headset is active it sounds like the Hear-Through tech on the 8200 is engaged. Super sensitive, I can hear myself breathe and it just sounds artificial like hear-through tech sounds like piping in outside sounds. I'm not sure if again I have a defective unit or perhaps they went too far with this acoustic fence stuff. But for almost $500 I'm devastated. I'll try to get a replacement unit, but might be time for a new brand.

    Does sound quality improve when using it in wired mode?
    Will wired mode connect to iPhone/iPad?

    • @EdanSaltz
      @EdanSaltz 3 года назад

      @@CallOneInc The common codecs are SBC, AAC, and Qualcomm aptX, aptX HD, aptX adaptive, aptX LL.
      SBC is the most basic one found everywhere. AAC is used by Apple since they don't license Qualcomm's Codecs. aptX is commonly found on Android phones.
      I've always been puzzled as to why this critical piece of information is not in the specs.

    • @EdanSaltz
      @EdanSaltz 3 года назад

      @@CallOneInc Bummer that they didn't get AAC used in iPhone & iPads. Not surprising that they support mSBC since it provides HD Voice.
      Thanks for the update. I've been using the original Voyager Focus for years. It has the best microphone of any other headset I've used. I would regularly use it while walking around Midtown Manhattan with the people I would speak to barely noticing the background noise.
      It's always a pain to have two headphones and switch between them. Had it had AAC would have given it the optimal compromise for my needs. I'll have to settle for SBC.
      I look forward to seeing how well six years of product development have done with the microphone.

    quisiera saber si afecta el funcionamiento de los audífonos el no instalar el software de Poly en la PC?, pregunto esto debido a que la PC en la que utilizaré los audífonos no puedo instalar drivers ni software. Y la siguiente pregunta es si el dispositivo USB A es plug and Play?

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  2 года назад +1

      Hola José, gran pregunta. La respuesta es que puede usar cualquier auricular Poly USB listo para usar sin descargar el software apropiado; sin embargo, es posible que no obtenga un rendimiento óptimo según la plataforma de colaboración que esté usando. Algunas plataformas requieren el software para utilizar las funciones de control de llamadas a través de los auriculares. Por ejemplo: Responder/Terminar llamada, Silenciar, Subir/Bajar volumen. Entonces sí, puede, pero el rendimiento puede no ser óptimo.

    Does it charge while you're using it hardwired (I assume yes)? Does it have multipoint (I assume yes)?
    I'm still waiting for my dream headset that connects to a cordless phone (via BT), my cell phone (via BT), and my laptop (via I don't care how as long as it is wireless - or maybe it would be okay if it was wired and I can just unplug the cord when I want to take a break.)

      @@jsfbay1 I appreciate this question is a year old and so too late for you. But it may be useful to others. I don't have the Focus 2 (I have a Focus 1), but the Focus 2 manual states it can pair to 8 devices but maintain a connection to only 2. So in your use case above it would not work because it can maintain only 2 of those 3 connections.
