Ditto coffee. There is a trend in synth videos now where at some point the presenter says 'and now for a delicious sip of coffee.. oooh yum!' and it annoys me. Real modular people drink straight mescal with the rim lightly dusted with crystal DMT. That's what gets the ideas flowing, at least it helps me.

Spectacular patch! Another trick I like to use with Buchla 281 is to trigger a function from a slow master clock but have the function set to loop a number of times between triggers. That way you can create as many repetitions as you like within a bar, including fractions since it will stop wherever it is in the cycle when it receives that retrigger from the clock. You can get some really odd and interesting patterns. Even if you modulate the A/D times the pattern will still fit within the same time frame due to that master clock retrigger. Or even just modulating a slower A/D by a faster can imply some sort of sync like this: ruclips.net/video/gDwYsCmctKM/видео.html . A consistently restarts every 12 cycles of B. In this one A is master clock retriggering B after an imperfect 16 cycles: ruclips.net/video/tf7xhsbtyaY/видео.html . Off kilter and quirky.
I wish my strike input sounded useful though unfortunately mine is an almost inaudible click rather than a pluck sound so I have to send the mod input a tight envelope to a mixer along with other sources instead and my strike input is always un patched ☹️. Any tips to make a trigger actually make a decent sound rather than a glitch/click?
Walker is an absolute wizard.
Seeing this and realizing how much there's still to learn and explore in music makes me happy
So glad to hear you say so! Happy patching ⚡️
one of those patches that makes me want to go and create! and thank you for not having cute plants and toys everywhere lmao
I like cute plants and toys, I just tend to accumulate books instead ⚡️

Oh man, this is why I love modular. I could go down the rabbit hole for hours with a groove like that. Cheers.
The infinite wonders of maths.
At school, I hated maths... Now, I love it 😜
Walker Rocks!! Dang that was an awesome patch and unfolding! Great sounds and beat 🙇♂️🙇♂️🙏🎛🔊
Thank you Todd!
I love that there are no bloody advertisements. Thanks

Glad you liked it!
Anyone else brain just waiting for an insane kick drum to accompany this ...
maybe some dry burial woodblock too yes
Absolutely magnificent.😃👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome patch. I'm hearing an awesome Skippy little military kind of snare pattern over that.
Rented a tent rented a tent rented a rented a tent…
Yeah this is great. Sounds like a full band jamming away.
Just sync'd up Pam to this patch and had a great jam! Thanks for the tutorials
I'd love to see a video on rube goldberg patches. I've not really been able to coax anything too interesting out of my machine.
Awesome loop
Do I use quadrature functions in my patches? I don't know. I just twist the knobs til it sounds cool.
Pretty nice way to create rhythmic elements within a sequence. Cheers!
Thanks for watching! Happy patching ⚡️
Just ordered a maths after watching this. Mind blown. 🤯
Totally worth sacrificing the HP in my smaller-ish system
Happy patching!
Fantastic- thanks for sharing.
Great patch -- outstanding and inspiring.
Thanks!
My Maths is finally on its way (it was inevitable really) and this one of the first things I’ll be trying- thanks!
Happy patching indeed! I will try this technique with my maths and akemies castle. Should be fun!
Have fun!
Your quickly becoming my hero :)
Omg so excited to try this. You beautiful synth wizard you
Lovely system !!! .... one day it will be mine ....
I just picked up a custom System Cartesian - definitely going to explore the Swirly Bird.
Happy patching!
Makes me want to get back home and play with my DPO too... Only it's currently 10,000 miles away!
that was pretty cool!
Great idea! Thanks Walker.
Thanks for watching!!
Love the swirly bird! Immediately I think of the music Vromb makes.
I don't know Vromb... something new to check out!
@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC it’s this trance industrial obscure German band. I won’t forget about them :)

Looks like fun! Externally clocking can really help if you want rhythmic play while the overarching tempo stays the same.
This is so fun and groovy…
Hey just curious if you know when the shared system will be back in stock. Was hoping to order. Thanks!
you come out of a David Lynch or David Cronenberg universe, right?
Brilliant
Thanks!
Thank you Walker!
Thanks for tuning in :D
terrific patch terrific vid!
Thanks for watching!
Great stuff!
Thanks!
This is gold, thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
“Below Midnight” would make a great band name.
Noted! ⚡️

Great tutorial 👏

Best hair on the Internet.
You are far, FAR too kind :P

Heh, have two Maths. Gonna make it double. :-)
Works great on Vult Freak.
Fantastique Walker although I got lost after the 5 or so patching cable destinations but superb vibes👍🆒🎶🎶🎶🎶🌈🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🌟🕸🔱☀️
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Damn, is this ever cool. ⚡️👌🏼⚡️
Thanks for watching!
So damn cool. Guess I'll have to sell the car and get a Shared System.
I plan to build up to it slowly. Start with just the DPO... then Maths... then...
I'm getting that shirt !
Guess I'll have to make my own?
Is "Swirly Bird" a reference to Silver Apples? If you don't know who Silver Apples are, then you should! Cheers
First! This was awesome! Thank you for sharing! 🖤
Thanks for watching! Happy patching :)
No plants or cute toys tho?
Open to suggestions 😛
excellent stuff!
Thank you!
I'm getting that shirt!
