  • Putting this engine guard on Elfin's bike. Does anyone else always have to buy a new tool whenever they work on their bikes (or cars)?

I just bought same type. The brand is craftride. Their instructions suck. Hard to see picture's, no description. Wanted to see if i could find an install video so i dont get suprised by anything. Your vid helped.

Glad to hear it helped. I couldn't find anything when I was doing the install.

Well, I got them on, what a PITA! The Motea instructions only have pictures, and never mention the spacers or the rubber plugs that have to be taken out for the large bolt on the inside. I had a real hard time with that large bolt that goes on the right side where the rubber plug was. Were you able to get that large bolt in?

Yeaaaaaah... those instructions were absolute TRASH. Are you talking about the large bolt that holds the engine up? I didn't really have too much of an issue with that. It WAS the part I was most nervous about though.

@2WheelsNcoffee no, the largest bolt that comes with the kit, goes where the rubber plug was.

I had to go look at the bike. Haha, and no that one didn't really give me any issues that I remember

This looks like the Motea Craftride Engine Guards. I just bought these and was looking for an installation video. Thanks for the video, how are they holding up?

I know they were Motea, which specific ones I don't remember. But they seem to be holding up well with the one minor drop at a stop sign it's had since installing them.

It LOOKS like it would protect the bottom part of the engine. Haven't dropped the bike to test it out though.
