    Can I just sidebar to say how much I love my core subscribers? In this video my eyebrows and hairline desperately need to be filled in but is anyone here mentioning that?? Nope! Just comments about how appreciative you are of the content. It’s the little things that makes me love y’all ❤️❤️

      *goes back to look* I actually prefer brows that way, but I didn't notice. And I guess I see what you mean about the hairline, but it wasn't something I noticed until I saw you had pointed it out! I think you look dope in all the forms I've seen you in! (Also, I'm slowly trying to update my okc by using your guidelines from your video about it. Wish me luck!)

    This series is like everything I have ever wanted. And I just think Shannon and Jared and all their guests are always so gorgeous and well spoken! It's honestly hard to find advice on healthy manageable relationships like this, so thanks Shan.
    Also, as someone with anxiety, your voices are just really really calming.

    If it does, maybe you are in the wrong relationship. In my experience, my partner is the reason I got so far in my career. He gives me the energy and the drive to do more, and to believe in the fact that I CAN do more.

    I've been a silent watcher for over a year now, and I have to say that I can't be silent anymore because you really deserve credit. You make beautiful videos, your content and visuals are always amazing and so meaningful. I know some people get turned off by long videos but If I see that your video is 16 plus minutes long I know I'm gonna end that video with some growth. So far this is my favorite series that you have. I'm not sure what it is about it that makes it my favorite. Maybe it's because it just seems so genuine from both you and your partner as well as your guests, maybe it's because it's in a natural setting like at dinner, and it probably has a lot to do with the actual content of the videos. Either way I love these, and I appreciate your time and effort to give us videos like this one. As for your question in the start of the video. I don't know which profession i would or would not date. I'm only 18 and never had a boyfriend, so although I feel like I know myself I don't know what I'm like in a romantic relationship and what it is that I need. I'm open to anyone, and occupation at least now isn't a deal breaker or maker. I'm willing to let love win despite the obstacles that careers might bring.

    Being in a relationship actually pushed me even harder to be better in everything I did because my actions and my energy directly impacted my partner in a way that no other person in my life would experience. I wanted to always bring my best to them. That love energized me and I was happy and it boosted my ego so I performed in life better. It only amplified my pre-established work ethic and it made me aware that what I do is not just for my fulfillment but it impacts those around me in a way I never got before. Even now that I am single again, my work feels more meaningful, knowing that it (as an extension of me) has direct contact with others. Before I had that experience, I felt like it was going to be a distraction so I was really apprehensive to the idea but my feelings almost immediately changed. It made me a better person😌

    I love this series Shan, love love them. I work in a non-profit that advocates for policy improvements in an Asian country, here I live with my husband and our 3m daughter. As far as the business my husband is in is legal, I would support him no matter what, we all go through different stages and ...m'am...life is just too short to not give away tries to different things we want to try out.
    Our biggest challenge is that I am a morning person, he is a night owl. I wake up at 5am, do my thing, work, come back home late..he likes to wake up late in the day and work till late at night, that's our challenge so we can consider ourselves lucky.

    This is so timely. I'm one year into a relationship after a very long hiatus and I worry all the time about not being focused enough on my career and goals. At times I feel like he provides that healthy dose of distraction that I need from constantly being on the grind. But I also feel awful sometimes because my routine has changed. No more getting home from work... to do more work... unless I'm trying to meet a deadline. I feel like I'm in a better place, but I also miss being consumed by my work. But, I guess it's all about work life balance and partnering with someone who can still motivate you.

    I don’t think the job matters as long as it doesn’t not compromise their or our morals or values. At the end of the day it has to make you happy. Their job does not have to necessarily have to define that person but it has to compliment them.

    Heg Shan, can you discuss the B.SMITH situation with her husband having a live in girlfriend. I would appreciate your point of view on the matter if time allowed you. Viewing you through the years has made me question traditional relationships (as not being the only option) and not limit to western one man one woman dynamics. I do think its a grey area.

  • @Vick809
    @Vick809 5 лет назад +3

    Do relationships kill careers? I'm going to answer this the best way I can. I feel like when it comes to careers and being in a relationship the most important things are to encourage each other to each others potential. Your other half is called your other half because they make you complete. It does not matter what your wife or girlfriend does for a career so when you support that person with your whole being then that's what matters. Me and my wife work together we are on different levels but I always try to get her to be more then I will ever be. If you love your relationship and the love of your life are worth it then nothing else matters.

    Ideally... my partner would be in an industry that is also about serving other people. And they would care about health and wellness and helping others. I also think it would be hard for me to be in a relationship with someone "in the industry" someone famous. My partner, now, is very well known just in my small town, and I find it difficult. But, that said, the more I work on myself and my person, the easier that gets. However... I still am not about "that life", the lack of routine and normalcy that is associated with "the industry" as my own independent person, so if I were in a relationship with someone who "lived that life", which, again my current partner kind of dips their toes into, boundaries would definitely need to be set as far as our needs and wants... haha but I digress x'''D

    This is probably my first time commenting on one of your videos. I'm an up and coming screenwriter/director and I find dating difficult because a "9-5" person doesn't get that an artist sometimes has to always be on. I might get a call at 2am that I have to take. I may have to cancel plans to go have a meeting. I think the dynamics between both couples were eye opening to me. Trust and understanding is key to having a successful relationship as an artist. I hope I can find that.

    I loved this video. People need the reality of life and love. I'm finding the ugly truth but also the amazing beauty in it. Romantic/rom-coms are problematic fantasies and I'm happy that these videos dismantle unhealthy idealisms. THANK YOU ♥️

    H.E.R just dropped the visuals for ‘Hard Place’ and the video depicts exactly what you guys were talking about regarding dating people in the entertainment industry and managing your own insecurities about your significant others fame/career.
