We had cartoons based off everything. Ghostbusters. RoboCop. Star Wars. Even Police Academy.

Imagine having a novelty foam football made of hardened modeling clay shoved up in there. The doctor kept hitting me with locals, because general anesthesia is out of the question. He finally hit that nerve at the back of your jaw that makes your head go numb. Sometimes I hit it when brushing my teeth. Once he put enough juice into that nerve, he started extraction. He had his knee on my chest and was twisting like crazy. The sounds it made and how much suction they were using, I knew I was in for a world of hurt when that needle wore off 😬

The 80s was a crazy decade for cartoons based on R movies. Police Academy, Rambo, Toxic Avenger, RoboCop, they all got the "you know, for kids!" treatment.
