Ahoy everyone!
My name is Nike and I have been living and sailing on my sailboat Karl since 2013. After a massive refit marathon, I finally cast off the lines and learnt to solo sail my 37-foot Reinke Super 10 that I called "Karl". I am publishing videos (at the moment every two weeks) about the ups and downs of living, repairing and sailing my boat.
Since January 2022, I have a new permanent crew member: my furry friend Boga. When I started out, I did not know much about boat repair or solo sailing. Since I am still out there, I hope that my story inspires others, to chase their dreams, even if they might think they are not cut out for it. There is always a way, so I'll see you out there!

Hey Mark, happy to hear you enjoyed the video. I don`t watch much on RUclips, but I shortly checked out ItchyBoots and I do like her vibe. I usually watch some stuff if I am looking for information about something - or sometimes checking in with some of my colleagues just to see other people`s styles of filming or editing...;). But apart from that I don`t watch much RUclips. Boga says thanks for the head rub :)

yeah, I doubt that, too, and I think it`s good that it`s there to keep me well prepared and on my toes... But it`s good to see that at least there is a sligth growth in confidence at times.

Safe passage. Figuring out a mountain top route. Maybe tie a dozen or so trail markers. So many forks, right. Spending time wit h the locals.
finding the way back down was super easy...just a couple of guesses on the way up ;) But yeah, if it had been a more elaborate trail, I probably would have left some markers...

Meanguera was also such a great place to stop and Tamarindo, too. I wish I could have spent more time. I know you will love it there, it`s totally your cup of tea!

@@WhiteSpotPirates I found her along the road. She was a mess. Couple thousand in vet bills later she’s healthy and happy. I am having problems getting her to do her business on the boat though. How did you teach yours?

Having watched all your videos, it feels like I know you although of course I really don't, please be careful in Honduras acording to Wikipedia it's a dangerous place, it looks ok where you are but the situation can change in an instant.
Why is it that every Tuk Tuk ride, regardless of the country looks "Perilous"? And for a moment there, it didn't look like you planned enough time to hike to the top.
haha, yeah, well, I have been on worse than this one for sure, I found this one quite civilized and road conditions were quite good. one of the worst I believe was in Bahía Solano to El Valle on the Pacific coast of Colombia...
Maybe he ment, always take the right path, as a pose to the wrong one 😄

Hallo , naja ich dachte das ergibt sich auf dem Weg und eigentlich würde ich dich nicht fragen, wenn ich nicht fände das du ein guter Typ bist und wenn es nicht passt für dich oder mich, dann zieh ich halt weiter. Dachte mehr an den Segelspass und den Austausch was deine Plastik Extruder angeht,,,,und ich bin Schreiner und vielleicht braucht dein Boot ja auch ein wenig Service und lustig würde es ja sicher auch noch werden....aber ich kann dich gut verstehen. Viel Spass, weiterhin und vielleicht kreuzen sich ja unsere Wege an einer andere Stelle ....irgendwann.
