Very cool. A plaza out the front of that station would be the best way to cope with the height differences and other constructions you have planned for the area.
Hi You’ve constructed the barrier system fixed incorrectly. The barriers should open fully. I had the same issue and found it was just a matter of repositioning the cogs. It tends to get stuck if you misalign the cogs with the opening mechanism. Once I built the set, I took it apart and rebuilt it on a cut-down LEGO baseplate. I didn’t bother with the mechanism and had one side of the barriers open with Minifigures going through. I also added staff members and passengers and sorted out the underground roundel so it looked like a proper London Transport logo. I loved the cafe build. Putting in a barista and customers. I also included a chap in the little shop. The only thing I didn’t like was the stickers for the newspapers. I managed to find the same amount of printed LEGO tiles and replaced them! Finally I added a sign for the coffee shop and made a brick built (circular) Underground sign both of which I attached to the front facia. I thought this was a great set and would simply look great in any LEGO city!
It’s nice to see someone building a Lego city in a realistic space for a change! But I also have the tendency to build more than I really have space for - and I don’t have anything that could be a Lego room!
Ah, space, the nemesis of Lego fans😂 Really enjoy the organic feel of the videos, we can gradually see how the city is evolving, what works and what doesn’t.
Kev really enjoyed this project I’ve been watching since the start. I think your ideas, although brilliant, outweigh your space. I’m having the same struggle with my medieval town project
Hi Kevin nice city so far, I also watch Greg's world who does Lego and goes too places and gets sets for quite good prices, I've never build a city but have built Lego before I like how creative you are, what's gonna happen when you've built the city Kevin more plans for more city
This is a really cool set. Especially great value with the lighting kit already to go and install.. I did buy a coffee house from the same manufacturer and that is a good build which I also recommend.
@@blockpartyuk it’s a horrible build.. lots of one stud attachments and at times, quite flimsy. Admittedly, I have zero patience, but I sent mine back for a refund!
I agree, Lego is lego and the use of third party brands is "cheating" in my book. But that being said each to their own :)... But from my own experience what makes the best city or general builds is that you are using "bricks" supplied from a limited but vast pool of "genuine lego". Apart from that love the channel and the build! 😊
@@alanh4929 If Lego didn't charge £250 for £5 worth of plastic there wouldn't even be a market for third-party alternatives. I got a perfect replica of the Loop Coaster for my daughter for £80 which just shows how much Lego ramp up the prices despite their insane economies of scale.
I really like to see the progress, but I can't get aboard with LEGO alternatives, I hope in the future you will replace it with a MOC or why not build that same building with LEGO pieces. 🙂 Keep it up!
I can’t imagine I’d rebuild the same set in Lego, seems like a waste of time and money! I’m sure one day it’ll be replaced with something more custom though. I have no issue with alternative brands, it’s the knock off sets I wouldn’t use. But these bricks are fine.
Hope your keeping well. This is a really cool set. Especially great value with the lighting kit already to go and install.. I did buy a coffee house from the same manufacturer and that is a good build.
Definitely worth the price. One thing I would do is make the front face slightly taller so you hide the wood
Brilliant video thanks - I just bought the tube station... it looks so good. Thanks for the tour!

Love your vids. I don't see many UK Lego channels. Doing well. Keep going
Thanks!
There are some good alternative builds out there and the underground station looks great. What a great fortune it fitted perfectly 👍
You can mils plate the train tracks. Bricksie just did some today or yesterday. Love watching the city from the ground up! Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I’ll probably be putting it onto a baseplate without the mechanism in eventually. It’s just too high off the ground as it is!
A surprisingly great looking set... for me, i'd embellish the front a bit... may throw a few embossed masonry bricks in there so it's not so plain.
actually a great looking set.

The benefits of being in the UK and living in a normal modern UK house! Big rooms don’t exist!
Raving mad man plans usually result in some of the most interesting content. So I say let the mad man loose :D

Where did you get the sent from are do you have a link please
Search for CaDA Underground Station and you’ll find it. I got it from BrickTanks

Yeah, I’ll cram as much as I possibly can into this room then figure out how to get more space somewhere!
@@blockpartyuk good solution. More Lego being bought always equals good solution

Loving the yellow Oyster/contactless plates on the barriers
Lots of cool attention to detail stuff like that!

The one that looks like a Starbucks? I ordered that last night to go next to this under the raised platform
@@blockpartyukyes that's the one. You'll enjoy it.

Couldn't have worked out better, still think the Lester minifig would look great stood outside it
He’s busy the city council. He might head down there at some point!
@blockpartyuk My apologies! I forgot that! though we all know who really runs that and its not the guy with the spreadsheets...its Gonzo!
Love the Lego set where did you buy it from?
I got it from BrickTanks, but you can also buy directly from CaDA
USB lights sound like a negative
More convenient than battery powered I’d say. Plus, they came with the set, so it’s fine to just not use them!
I think your city looks amazing x but not sure about you having non lego in it?😬
I wouldn’t get cheap fake sets, but alternate companies are fine. I’ll be adding a MEGA Pokemon Center at some point too!

Did I spot some speed champions in the background?
Yep - I built one on one of the recent streams while Anna was building the Milky Way set
I love trains
