I think the important bit of information is that knives made in Taiwan can be trusted in regard to heat treatment. Also, US and Taiwan have a very favorable trade agreement! Why is this important? We pay no tariffs or value added taxes on steel or finished knives UNLIKE the Chinese made knives, which can be taxed and tariffed up to 75% by the time they get here! Taiwan is one of the few true friends of the USA in the world. They buy a ton of our military equipment, which keeps our companies and workers in business. Thanks!
Hey Jared. Perhaps you might do a versus series on specific steels from different companies. For example, compare the quality of D2 from Kubey, TwoSun, SOG. Or the 14c28n from Miguron, Real Steel, Ruike. Thanks for the vids!
I’ve got all the QCs from the last year and the drift LC is honestly my favorite I love the large drift, but man that handle on the LC in those bearings are just money 💰
Hey Jared, just wondering why you chose to include the Waypoint LC rather than the regular Waypoint? I'm looking to get a Waypoint (full ti) and just curious if you had any reservations on it. Thanks.
yeah buddy love to see any great looking knife with titanium lol i got my first SIXLEAF SL-24 titanium knife with carbon fiber coming in the mail very soon and i cant wait lol its my very first knife with titanium on it so im super excited
Would like to see a listlike this that excluded framelocks. I know some of these werent. Maybe it could include a section made in China and a section that is not.
American knives have a giant issue with this bizarre aversion to 4 inch blades. Knife laws have only gotten better for most states, I don't want 3 inch blades, go to 4, it's not a crazy weight hit to go from 3 1/2 to 4. Make the default 4. They also need to just be crazier, oh you guys made a clean drop or clip point!? WOW!!! Amazing, let me buy it. Oh, wait a second, I just checked, EVERYONE HAS THOSE, I DON'T CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! American made has come a long way in the knife hobby from 5-10 years ago but they still need to amp some things up, people go chinese for crazy shit (this rant excludes heretic knives, and to some extent microtech and kershaw, since kershaw is starting to get more experimental).
I don't think US-made companies have an aversion to 4" blades. I think it has more to do with the fact that most people don't want to carry a gigantic knife in their pocket so U.S. knifemakers (and many Chinese ones too) make blades between 3", 3.5", and 3.75" because these sizes are great for EDC and it's what most people want. If the market was trending towards longer blades, you can bet there will be more to satisfy the demand. Some people prefer big knives and that's great, but most want something that isn't a pocket sword. I have a Cold Steel 26SP Ti-Lite, which has a 4" blade. The knife is slim, but a bit long. I haven't carried it in years because the blade length is somewhat impractical even for simple things like Amazon Boxes and plastic packaging. You don't need a 4+ inch blade to open/cut packages. Maybe you do, but many others will not. On the other hand, I don't like short blades either (stuff 3" and under). I have a few stubby Microtechs, so I guess I'm a hypocrite, but that's the only way I can legally carry one in Cali and OTFs are wicked cool anyway. In my opinion, blade lengths between 3.5" and 3.75" is a good middle ground. Not too large, not too small.
Appreciate the effort showcasing US and “Non-Hostile” nation knives.
It's good for national security😂
Nice break from the usual parade of Sencut, Civivi, Miguron, Vosteed, Maxace .....

Great topic! I've just become a big fan of titanium and was not familiar with the several of these knives. Thanks!

I think lots of people, especially buying over $130, work in cities or offices that discourage big knives.

Sounds like you need to learn how to make your own knives.
What are you doing with a 4 inch folding knife that a 3.5 inch knife can't do?
4" knife is considered a deadly weapon and illegal to carry in a lot of places.
Quietcarry L is so good except the thumbstuds. If it's a slicer, don't put the thumbstuds in the way!
BANG!!!
