Unfortunately, when I met Neal in New York City in the mid-1990s as a young Berlin Yiddish singer and Master's student in Jewish history & German-Jewish literature studies, I understood so little English (I just came from my French studies at the Sorbonne in Paris and had previously attended a West Berlin humanistic grammar school with Latin and Ancient Greek) that I literally did not understand Neal and how THE PUFFIN FOUNDATION works. In the meantime I have improved my English and I have discovered their homepage, and I think that this organization is doing very valuable work.
