Every once in a while, there comes a Source mod so bad, so amazingly terrible, that it rises into the upper echelons of infamy and secures it's place in modding history. This is one such mod.
This was a hell of an experience. But your reactions throughout made it fucking ascendant. What a watch. Credit where it's due though, those two "surface" chambers had an awesome theme, I'd love to see more maps with fully exposed ceilings and the like.

oh my goodness i couldnt stop laughing throughout this entire thing, it was so much but so little at the same time. it also got a lot of disappointed sighs. i can tell that a lot inspired this person however it suffered so heavily from them conglaminating (totally a real word) it all together into one thing instead of spreading the different inspirations into their own things. this is sort of the videogame equivalent of a writer of decent skill writing a self-insert fanfic. the game like overall want thaaaat bad. the person who made it shows skill in actually creating the mod, but cuz it was all put together so haphazardly with messy game design that playing it gets overwhelming so like just on the offchance the creator of the mod sees this comment under this video my genuine constructive criticism: 1: spread your ideas over different projects. the large conglamoration of too many different concepts is what made it seem like a shitpost mod. For example the area where you switched gun types every few chambers could've been spread out into its own mod where the point is to switch guns a lot. A reason for switching so much could be that the player is the person who test that the guns can function and withstand different things before they go into testing what the guns functions can actually achieve like what Chells purpose was. Also draw each section out a little bit so the player gets more time with each of the guns. The fizzler gun would prolly be best being cut altogether though. This example mod is sort of like the forbidden chambers in that it has a few different concepts put into it however my example mod it would work because that's the point and sticks to the idea of testing different guns and gives a reason for it whereas your mod gives the player different guns randomly with no explanation. This also works because the individual guns also don't really have enough substance to them to deserve their own game. so whereas the idea of testing a bunch of different guns over in one section of a bigger overall game like the forbidden chambers is overwhelming and feels like shoving in content for the sake of content. (i struggled to word that. I hope that made sense and didn't contradict itself) One of the guns could be decided to be a failure as part of the story and not put into further testing so is ultimately scrapped by aperture science the backrooms areas just outrite don't fit in anywhere within the portal universe and should be saved for a portal mod that isnt set within the portal universe. for example, this poolrooms map by "NanoBite" which is presented to you by youtuber "the librarian": ruclips.net/video/btk7VQTZSgc/видео.htmlsi=e7KEQU-wSTJz9o_L 2: try to stay away from fan-theory non-cannon stuff. it is fun to theorise and if you believe the theories that's fine. Not much else to say on that 4: Think about the characters personalities and relationships with each other. when you brought 2heatly back he was existing next to GLaDOS just fine. but realistically, after everything he has done to anger her (she said in the main campaign of portal that killing is too good for him) so they shouldn't be peacefully sitting next to each other. Portal reloaded, Portal stories: Mel and Aperture paintball all avoided this by just not using any cannon characters (except stories Mel with cave at the start but he was in character and not interacting with any other cannon characters in a way that this needs to be considered). They all used alternatives: The announcer voice for reloaded, Virgil for stories Mel, and Nigel for paintball. These characters are again fine since cores are such a widely seen thing in aperture who have different jobs that it makes sense that theres just other cores. you had your core character, SAKE, who acted fine, only complaint is he was a bit bland, however Nigel and Virgil had the same issue. 5: I really liked the fact that you can actually hear portal 2s events taking place during this mod. However I feel like the player shouldn't have been noticed by GLaDOS because that would cause complications with the cannon writing in portal 2. The player should continue to just be guided by SAK. I also think it should've remained just a fun background thing, instead of the mods and main games stories coming together. theres my complaints and advice for the future on the very rare chance that the mod creator sees this lol
You missed the secret ending by standing near the door leading to the outside and throwing the cube onto the button, you could also do it in a previous room with it just looping the map, also there's a venta-black Alyx with just some hair coloured in the last backrooms. Oh, last thing, you can skip the boss-fight entirely if you know where to shoot your portal.

But story is realy simular almost as somone stole my idea and made it more worse in my idea there is no backrooms refreces. And paint gun part is better in idea bos bettle I not has one yet in my idea. Graviti gun is to real idea. But fizler gun is joke ideja. And time manupilitive gun is fun idea and when it exploude is fun. To story take place in same time as portal 2 this last bites is aslo fun joke idea. I'd argue this mod is so-bad-it's-good at points. There were plenty of GOOD IDEAS in there, but just consistently falls short.
