When Chief pulled the teleportation device, I wanted to tell him that it only works in the overworld not the nether XD

26:06 that method of teleportation only works when you're in the same dimension of the pearl
For instance: if the teleportation chamber is in the overworld and you try to use the fishing rod in the Nether (which is what you did) it obviously won't work
