I own this VHS and I enjoy watching it from time to time. That said, the all-time Oakland A's skews toward the late 1980s in a way that upon reflection should not have. The early/mid-1970s A's teams were able to win 2 more World Series titles than the late 1980s A's teams and they won 5 consecutive division championships. That was a true dynasty.
Yes. To me, the Oakland Athletics will always be Tennace, Green, Campaneris, Bando, Rudi, North, Jackson, Hunter, Holtzman, Blue, Odom, and Fingers. THAT is the Oakland Athletics!
Glad the video recognizes Tony Armas. Today, whenever the team recognizes Oakland's greats, they forget his name even when they mention the Billy Ball era.
Jesus loves you all forever, and he is King!! God bless you all, and have a blessed day!!! You are loved, and you are worth it!!🙏❤️ God woke y'all up for an amazing reason!!
"Holly Toledo" the Oakland Athletics a true baseball dynasty, because of the small market that is the Bay Area the A's did not get the recognition that they truly deserve. They have the greatest fans ever! They deserve to be recognized for the awesome teams during those years of the 70s and 80s. It was wonderful to see that old ball park before Al Davis destroyed it. Oakland please build the park that the Swinging A's; Billy Ball, Oakland Athletics deserve! Both the fans and the team need. Keep it in Oakland please! The fans have been there in good times and the not so good times.
as a lifelong a's fan since 1968 the 1971 to 1975 players take the top spots with me 5 straight division wins and 3 straight world series win thats a resume with only the 1930's and 1950's yankees. manager dick williams hands down.
They ought to at a minimum rip out Mt Davis and maybe resto mod it a bit. Stain the concrete and cover a bunch with wood or stucco. Upgrade everything in dugouts and locker rooms. Build it and they will come.
Seriously, Mike Moore? This film must have been created right after the 1989 WS. Langford, Keough, McCatty, Mike Norris --I'd put all of them above Moore. The only "fan vote" Moore would have got after his lousy 1990 (including completely choking in the WS) was from his mother.
God has saved my life, and I am forever grateful, and I love God with everything I have to give and offer!!
i dont care
September 2021 Love The Oakland A’s. 🙏🏽 stay en California satay in Oakland
great job Ian, You hit it out of the park!!!
Carney Langsford is one of the most underrated players ever in baseball.
Yes he was.. solid all around game, clutch hitter!
Agreed.
Couldn't agree more. Carney Lansford was a true championship player
Excellent video, Let´s Go Oakland Athletics.
I love mi A"s forever💕

The bay area is not a small market. The A's, giants, warriors and 49ers all play in the same market. The 5th largest in America.
Wow I'm wearing my cap watching this = A perfect way to begin this Day GO A's MEMORIES✊✊✊✊
I think Mike Norris should made the pitchers list as an honorable mention. He had a great year in 1981, 22-9.
Yeah, he came out of nowhere to become a good pitcher, also Dave Stewart had a great career in Oakland
James Augustus Hunter was clutch!!!❤
Dave Henderson n Ricky Henderson had a similar style of play on the field and at the plate.
Campy should be in hof
Best team in the 70"s
....big red machine was close but the A's had better pitching.
Larussa should've won more then 1 world series, Williams was a better manager. Williams won on fundamental baseball, they didn't lose 1 run games.
Herb Washington should have made it as a Designated Runner since he was the only one in MLB's existence.

You can see slower bat speed in maguire before steroids. Great power hitter but not the same as steroids era.
Build them a new ballpark get it done
