Oakland A`s of the 70s and the 80s were great dynasties. They were never really given the credit that they deserved. One hears about "The Big Red Machine" but not about how great Oakland was, it is too bad that they were in such a small market. I hope that they get the ballpark that they deserve.
I meant Charlie O Finley at Morrie Mages Sports on La Salle & Ontario in Chicago. He wore a world series ring that had all three years of the back to back to back championships; the most beautiful championship ring I have ever seen, and I have seen several!
They definitely could have won 5 or 6 in a row if they kept that team together. They still made the playoffs in 74 and competed for the division title in 76 even after the team was being torn down.
special shout out to the haas family is was such a shame they didn't keep the team. they did a wonderful job. also to el cheapo charlie finley who built a dynasty and then destroyed it. sorry guys greatest alltime oakland a's reggie jackson and catfish hunter and they got the jewelry to prove it. rickey henderson greatest leadoff man of all time.
God I love the Oakland A’s. What John Fisher amd Rob Manfred are attempting to do shins be outlawed
So many great memories going tk games . The A’s had style and would kick your ass too. Oakland played like the city. Tough.

Who knows how much more those 70's a's teams would have won if they were kept together. But Finely was to cheap.

Such a great team in such a horrible city
So many awful owners in this great team's history. They won championships in spite of horrible ownership groups.
