@@negred Rosalia in her latest album does a lot of spanglish and probably writes her lyrics high on weed since she is highly influenced by reggaeton and trap. Natalia on the other hand almost loves the spanish language and is very poetic on her lyrics or does covers with very poetic lyrics. Very different. Nevertheless Rosalia used to relate herself with the spanish language in a similar way to Natalia in her two previous albums but on Motomami she murders the language just like any reggaeton or latin trap artist would.

Only thing I'll disagree with Melon for this one is the closer part. For me its one of the most powerful moments, and to be honest, the one that resonated with me the most. Lost my grandpa recently and its been really fucking hard. Que te vaya bonito Nicolás, put words to the feelings that I couldn't really seem to materialize/verbalize in my own grief. A beautiful song that while sad, gives you hope and is that kind of light at the end of the tunnel. Easy 10 for me overall. Natalia es una crack. I love how the entire record sounds like a group of musicians have sat down in a farmhouse somewhere in rural Mexico. Each playing an old, dusty instrument. The piano sounds so cold, in a very authentic, Latin way. And Dios Mio, the backing vocals and jingles are so incredibly gorgeous. This album felt like food for the soul from the first listen, and still does.

Honestly, I'd have swapped the spellling record for this for 10/10. Like the title track alone, nothing makes me feel a beautiful melancholy like this track does. Maria La Cuandera is also so catchy. I also think the "less consequential" bits are negative spaces that work pretty nicely as buffer between the (often) pretty heavy tracks they buffer. But, both are very good records, but this is definitely the beefiest strongest 9/10 I've ever seen for sure. Jesus Christ. What an album
