Hearing her say “maybe I don’t want to be under 300” was so heartbreaking. I can’t imagine how frustrated her loved ones must be.

She’s so backed into a corner trying to make any kind of point because she knows that everything they’re saying is true. It’s such a sad and frustrating situation because in leaving her to deal with natural consequences (if her family finally just gave bottom lines and backed off intervention style) she’s going to die in months.

They never talk about a dad, I think cris has played the dad figured with all the sisters for along time. In that’s why he’s loving and caring towards them, but also concern in strict with them when he has to be.

Tammy’s family is honestly too good for her. She has an excuse for literally everything and then once she runs out of them she just yells and shuts down. I know it’s killing her family everyday seeing her live like this and be so dense. At some point though they need to just let her eat herself into immobility, and then put her in a home with people who are paid to put up with her BS. Chris and Amy really doesn’t deserve this treatment after they’ve put in the work. They don’t need to be held back anymore smh.
I have a family member like that, it's literally exhausting dealing with their excuses and then blaming everyone else except themselves. It's affected everyone in our family both mentally and physically.
People like this often end up in nursing homes before they're even old. My mom has mostly worked in nursing homes and they don't get paid enough to put up with this kind of bull, especially the damage it does to your body (facilities stay understaffed so rolling someone over is almost literally back-breaking). I agree with you and others that this woman can lose weight...she just doesn't want to. But then her immobility will become someone else's problem, if not her family's, then the poor workers at whatever facility she'll have to go to. And nobody deserves that.
They're just as sick as she is. They sure can talk the talk when it comes to Tammy, but they are still DANGEROUSLY overweight. They're in the same boat she is.

Tammys “weight-loss” journey has gone on too long. I don’t know how her family has been able to stick around this long to support her because at the end of the day she doesn’t want to take the necessary steps to change her life.

So true. Last summer I was eating a huge bag of chocolate and large bag of chips EVERY NIGHT.. at first I felt so sick but eventually I felt sick when I didn't have it. 4 months later I had gained 40lbs, I knew if I didn't stop I would be huge in NO time. It's hard and I still eat junk sometimes but I only have half the bag instead of the whole bag now, no more pop, no more m&ms or chocolate. 3 months later in back at my normal weight.. it was all because of the gross amount of chocolate and chips I had daily.

Losing weight is more of mental battle than anything. I struggled with obesity was a child. I reached 250 before I stopped growing. My health was poor, and I felt trapped in my body.
I feel for Tammy, but at some point, we have to be accountable.

They can only do so much. Tammy has walked away from multiple rehabilitation centers, countless diets, countless small weight loss goals and countless exercises regimens.
The fact is that she's so childish and cruel to everyone around her is excatly why she's burned bridges with so many people in her life. She's a toxic, self centred person who thrives off being treated like the victim. You can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped. She'll never ever change, I'm damn sure of it.

Some times you got to hurt feeling's to save a life. That's how Soldiers use to be made in the 90s. I cared and loved my in-laws cleaned up soiled clothing and bedding. Horrible,, Very sorry to hear that. I have in-laws that are still dying in front of my child and their grandchildren each day. The Ambulance has come twice for their diabetes and it hasn't even been a year.

As someone who’s made tons of excuses and had avoidant behaviors (not about weight tho) Tammy reminds me of a worse version of myself so much. Her family is amazing, but she’s the only one who can change herself.

The thing about Tammy is, she wants independence and her family to trust her so badly but doesn’t give them any reason to. Her actions consistently show she is not making progress to lose weight. If she can’t look after herself, others who care about her will obviously feel the need to step in and take that role. She reminds me of a teenager who doesn’t want to be treated like a little kid anymore, yet isn’t mature enough to be treated as a responsible adult. She just needs to focus on herself and not worry about relationships.
For the life of me I can't understand how someone like Tammy doesn't really care if she dies today. She won't diet, she gets with guys that just use her cause she's easy to use. That guy that's with her now can't care about her very much or he would want her to be healthy and not try to keep her trapped in a mountain of lard with no hope of her having a life.
