How I finally got my Gruha Jyothi application done!

- I had been struggling with various issues on the Gruha Jyothi portal.
But with some nifty coding hacks, I have finally managed to get the application done.
The easiest option would be to just try late at night. I tried at 2AM and it worked super-smooth!

I am getting a different screen, asking to get OTP rather than going directly to the application form screen
good video. Surprising thing is the 'inspect' option doesnt pop up on right clicking on the blank box. will give a try late at night

At night it should work perfectly fine. You might not need any hacks at night
Sir how to cancel application. .cause I have already applied to gruha Jyoti with my adhar number with my old house with that current bill.its been 1 month now we have to shif our house next month and in portal it's showing this adhar number is already applied.
I don't know how a cancellation and re-application will work.
You will ahve to check with your electricity company.
I am not getting OTP while verifying my mobile number
Getting this error "Your Account ID does not exist/ Account ID may be New Connection. Please contact your nearest electricity Office for more details" It's been 4 years since I am paying the bill?? How to fix this error.

Hey, i applied 7 days back. Still current status is showing sent to bescom for processing. How much time does it take to process and does the status change?
It should be in effect from the next billing cycle. I don't think the status changes at all. I have been getting a zero bill since Aug but the status still shows 'sent to BESCOM'

I have changed the owner details in Bescom portal, but the new owner name/details are not populating, instead old owner names are getting populated
My guess is it would take some time for the details to update.
However if it does not, please go check with your electricity office

Its been more than 1 month now that have submitted my application for gruha jyothi scheme but still it says in progress can u tell how many days it will take to process/ any other way to process fast

I applied on their website on 28th November and it shows application sent for processing but I still got bill yesterday. Do you have any idea how much time does it exactly take??
Generally it should be effective by the second billing cycle after application.

After giving all the data getting the error "SESSION TIMED OUT" tried many time both in mobile and laptop. tried incognito mode also. does any one have solution for this problem
The website has a mind of its own
It will work if it wants to work.
I would suggest try at a late night hour (post midnight). Generally it works very fast (no guarantees though)
Bro by mistake i had enter ESCOM instead of BESCOM and application also submitted plz suggest how to edit after submission please...

Hey, I tried in Incognito Mode. It asked for Adhar, After providing OTP everytime it says Session Time out
I just tried and it is working fine.
I would suggest trying it on another computer or mobile.

No idea. Somebody might have already registered using your account id
How you are sure that application went through? As per Bescom account id will throw error message if all ready applied but for me it was not throwing any error..
I tried again at 2AM
The website works perfectly. But it does not let me raise complete the request
On submit, it says try again with another connection id
The application seems to have been updated now to autoamtically detect if an application is already submitted.
Have not tested it yet. But seems that the server is down.

You can retry with another Aadhaar.
But one connection can be used only for one application.
You'll have to check with the electricity company office to change the Aadhaar
However I think Aadhaar is used only to check the name.
If it is done successfully, I don't think the Aadhaar that was used should matter anymore.
Can we add multiple meter id if we have 3 floor house
The subsidy is limited to 1 meter for each Aadhaar

How long does it take to get approved? I applied in april 2024

You should ideally see it updated in the July bill. Check with the electricity office since the portal does not update the status.
Its been 3 months and its still processing and im getting extremely high bills for my tenants
For the zero bill,
your last 12 months average units consumed should be less than 200
and your current months units consumed should be less than 200 as well.
been trying to apply but just getting "the site cant be reached". not sure if any vpn settings can help. i see the dns resolving, but site just timing out. have never been able to load the site successfully even once. im talking about sevasindhugs
Try late at night. (Later the better)
I have found the site to be smooth post 1AM
During the day, looks like entire Karnataka is trying to access it and the server can't take the load.
Also try Incognito mode. In normal mode, I keep being pushed to sindhusevags1 which does not exist at all.
If I put account I'd it's showing ur I'd doesn't exist or may be new connection what to do?
Generally this error comes up when the servers are slow.
I would suggest trying after 12 in the night.
If the issue still exists, then you'll have to check with your electricity company.

To be frank, even I am not very sure how it works for tenants.

There does not seem to be any way of tracking application status
One way you can chek though is by trying to submit agian.
If the application already exists, it does not allow you to submit again.

If it was succesfully submitted, it will not allow you to submit again.
There is no SMS message, the only confirmation is the application number and pdf.
If you have not received that check with your ESCOM.
BESCOM for example has said they will send out confirmations later.

I have already registered today, I have 2 ques:
1. How much time is taken to process someone's request for the yojana.
2. When can I avail of the free 200 units from gruha jyothi yojana?

I had applied on 22Jun and it still shows processing.
The free 200 units are supposed to be effective the next month after you apply for the scheme.
The July bill that will come in August is the first month when the free units are supposed to be effective.

It had been very erratic. Sometimes (mostly at night, but sometimes at normal times as well) it works perfectly smoothly.
But very few times has it worked as it should

I guess you can check with the ESCOM on whether anything is pending.

I own my flat but electricity bill is in the name of builder. So will i be able to use this scheme as i being an owner but again elect bill account holder is in the name of builder. Pls suggest
You'll have to get the connection transferred to your name and then apply for the scheme.

Generally the next month's bill would reflect the subsidy.
Subsidy would depend on the average of the last 12 months' of usage and current month usage. Both should be less than 200
