You know Nathan, the thing about BTS is they always encourage us/you to do “you”…so there’s nothing stopping you to dye your hair nor dressed edgier than you normally do..I think you’ll rock with lighter hair colours..

ON released three years later, Feb 21, 2020.
I found BTS when ON was released. Not Today was my hype song during the first year of the pandemic.
They go insane when performing this song live, just pure energy from point A to point B.
Update: Jin is out of the Military (yay!), its our 11th anniversary and highly suggest anything BTS as a reaction :)

Let me recommend to your attention another oldie: the RUN MV. A gem from 8 and a half years ago. The guys are young, too young to have such depth of lyrics. The MV itself is quite long - it's divided into two parts - but I promise you that every moment of the 7:31 mins is worth it. BTS doesn't really care that an MV might get fewer views coz of its length. They fully show what they have to say. They don't dance in the RUN MV - it's rather a short movie - but it's much more than that. It's one of the reasons I'm part of the fandom. RUN is shockingly honest and perfectly captures the essence of youth. It really shook my soul - it brought up feelings, tastes and smells from the distant past that I had long forgotten. So intense and vivid that I was seriously shocked and cried. This is something special about BTS. They can convey feelings, emotions perfectly. You're a bit younger than me, - but I'm sure you'll get what I'm talking about - if you take the time to check it out. :) Your Fake Love cover is amazing. Thank you for your great work.
1000x agree, RUN is a timeless masterpiece. How can one song capture so perfectly the haunting, nostalgic ache of young adulthood, that sense of standing on a precipice between restless longing and despair. It’s been decades since my own HYYH, but everything about RUN from the MV to the rap, vocals, beautiful layering and even the choreo, takes me back to those feelings.
I definitely think Nathan would enjoy a deep dive into the production and audio files of RUN. 💜
@@e0n555 Exactly, dear. I think, I feel the same. Idk what kind of magic RUN has - but it works. And these seven young guys' talent/skill to convey every emotion and thought so vividly, intensely, rawly and honestly - it's crazy. Complete package. The miracle itself.
This is amazing live. They proformed this live back to back with Dionysus. The live energy is incredible. (Dionysus+Not Today Live at Wembley stadium)!!!! There's also the 2019 Final in Seoul ( LY:Speak Yourself Final in Seoul) where they proformed Dionysus+Not today live. It gives such a different feeling.

There’s a behind the scenes making of this video. They practically waited all day and night in this freezing cold place to film this to get the right colours and dancing on that ice looking plaque.

BTS songs are timeless! I guess that’s why they fan base is getting bigger and bigger every year. When you say they are very inspiring you are right, I started going to museums more after I became fan of them because Namjoon inspired me to go visit museums.

This is part of the Love Yourself Era. About 4 or 5 years before On. And written around the time they had a major amount of harassment and bullying from online fandoms, media and other kpop companies.
This a great workout song or a song when you need to get motivated.

You definitely need to watch a live version of this in a stadium.... Cuz it hits hard. Preferably from their love yourself speak yourself concert series. That version has some differences with a live band and theatrics, im sure you'll enjoy.

Just recenty BTS were called out again about them not taking a political stance on the war in the east. They have never, as long as Ive been ARMY, see them get involved in politics. But the haters made a big deal of it with BTS and Hybe. Right now false accusations while they, themselves are in the military and out of contact. So...ARMY answered for them in a way and started streaming Not Today and it started charting again. Was it the right thing to do? I dont know, but what I do know is this song was an answer to the world on all the hate they were getting and the confusion over the pandemic. It still works!

This song is an inspiration to many people who were/are struggling. “Not Today” is an intensely positive message, (especially when SUGA says it) to someone who is on the edge. BTS’s timeless lyrics are so powerful, with even a nod to MLK. Thank you for your breakdown and appreciation for its relevance today musically. It’s a great song. Loved your reaction. I totally agree with those you hang out with you start to act like them. In my opinion you are hanging with them. Maybe someday it will be in person, but never the less you are, we are being impacted by BTS, they are a movement, not just a boy band. Hence further down the rabbit hole you go . Hey, Nathan! I don't know if you keep track of your comments but I really wanted to tell you something! I wasn't familiar with the boyband you were in, BUT.... BUT... BUT .... Back in the days, when we used to have MySpace and it used to have music, and Jordin Sparks was popular (so kind of a long time ago) - I used to collect unknown, underrated music off of MySpace and I made a mix tape CD with my favourites we used to listen to ALL day at my work with the other girls. Romance you was on it!!! I moved a few times, I lost that CD and I hate to admit, but I lost my memory of the song's title and the artist as well... But I always remembered what it sounded like, even the cover from MySpace! Also, this may sound unbelievable, but I was just thinking about that song recently. That I wish I remember what it was. Especially, because I was curious where that artist may be now... I'm 40, I'm a mum, I engage in nostalgia... So... just a few moments ago Spotify brought "Nathan Walters - Romance You" up as a recommendation and I freaked out a little recognising both the old cover and You from this channel!!! I am also so happy I could welcome your song back into my world!!!
