I think that more than controlling the haters at the beggining, he's going alone and facing them, that has been always a part of his role as the leader, receiving much more hate than many of the other members, taking the brunt of it even more at the international level... But as the song says, I trust myself, I trust Bangtan, so even the haters that shoots canonballs shed their figurative hate for BTS and then learn to love them and defend them (Fun Fact: In the album the song comes after 2!3! and Spring day) In the last chorus you hear the marching steps in the music! now they are dancing with ARMY And at the end The boys see the sacrifice of the ARMY, and close the MV with a final shot of them being the Bulletproof boys, defending their ARMY... And this was just before the rebranding to the new logo that together BTS and ARMY is a shield!
I think you're right. As the leader of a kpoo group, if another member messes up, you'll get scolded, because it is your responsibility to make sure the members are the best they can be. Plus, in Namjoon's case, back in the early days, whenever they got hate comments and the members would ask him to translate since he was the only one who knew English, Namjoon would translate it as something positive so it wouldn't hurt his members, especially the younger ones, and would deal with all the hate by himself. He truly is a wonderful person.

At the point you're talking about repeating the same shot 3 times, they're actually 3 different shots timed exactly the same. First shot, Junkook throws up 1 hand, 2nd shot 2 hands and 3rd shot the hooded figures have disappeared. It looks the same but tells a narrative about taking aim at their haters and systematically blowing them away
Okay so like at 14:49 I think this means that Jungook’s members got shot by the haters in like his eye of imagination, so it was kind of like overthinking, he saw what could happen if the haters continue and they don’t do anything about it, and then after that scene, the chorus comes with “not today oh oh”, so I interpreted it as them taking things into their own hands and not letting the haters having the upper hand, so they turn them into their followers and that’s why they’re dancing in sync behind them. I hope this makes any sense hahah

However, this is at the cost of one child who was always sad and in pain. So the story is about the people (BTS) who took the boy (Jungkook) and ran from Omelas in order to save him. By doing this BTS then sacrificed their own happiness. So the hooded figures are not just haters, but the people from Omelas who are chasing the BTS and the boy in order to get their happiness back. the reason that Jungkook wasn't shot on the mountain scene was so that he didn't die and they could take him back to Omelas, but then at the moment when the haters became fans, the people realised that beauty and happiness can be found in everything. This story line can be seen in music videos all the way from 'Spring Day' to 'Fake Love' where you can see the struggles that BTS have faced along this journey. There are many different story lines within the BTS universe but they so all link together in some way.
