I have tons of em and used em a decade or more ago. While they do entice, It bulks up the presentation and require you to throw heavier jigs and use heavier tackle. Jimbo been on a finesse approach and prefer to throw a single undressed Jig. Goal is use less so it can reach the bottom quicker. Now if wanna mindlessly vertical Jig high low rig... I would be happy to put on thicker line and use a heavier rod. But body would not be happy later lol.. Telling you, old injuries and age will catch up to ya!
😂😂 Daiwa and shimano run the show when it comes to reels. They don’t need to do anything. If you can’t afford the best it looks like you’re stuck with the rest. By the way Daiwa is king 👑
@@Daiwa_Is_King I have a few of the shimanos. Metanium mgl, curado dc, curado bfs Just saying that they all look the same. Definitely different. Would be nice to have a newer design,
@@yurhighness2843 gotcha I was joking around anyways I wasn’t trying to be a smart ass. I’m a Daiwa guy but there are plenty of companies that make beautiful reels.
not gonna lie. Shimano and Daiwa are certainly top of the game. But playing around with so many brands, I feel that there are rising stars in the market that would have potential in sitting right below these two mega brands. Been digging ark and bates due to their braking system!
A rod length or less. Don't want too long or it Will catch the current. I would do a yard minimum as too short means you would change lines too frequently.
Oh man! You're blessed with the variety of styles of fishing you get to partake in! Looking forward to seeing more salt water fishin!
I love being close to the shore for that! I get best of both worlds!
Now you’re speaking my language Jimbo!! Love your setup! Think I’m going to save up and get me one of those Hundos!!
I need some more saltwater trips lol. If ur in NJ, maybe we can meet up and u can try it!
@@rawrfishing unfortunately I’m in NC. Thank you for the invite though!
Aww.. Welp I hope some of my trips will include some unique and new ways to fish for fluke via inshore!
@@rawrfishing yes sir, I’m sure they will!
It sounds like you have a great plan of attack for your flounder slaying. Can't wait to see it put into action. Be blessed. My friend.
Thx. While I was equiped, I didn't find em good yesterday. So hopefully I will next time
I've been having my eye on one of them Bates reels. I think it's really cool how they're made.
they are neat indeed!
You need to try bucktail jigs! It’s a fluke catching machine. Spro makes good ones

He’ll yeah! Now that’s what I’m talking about 👍
Glad u enjoyed it! More to come hopefully soon!
Nice looking 😮😊
Thanks 😊
Hello....You should try using 10lb braid NOT 20... And Shimano SLX70 8.2 to 1
No thx. I am not a fan of centrifugal braking reels and a reel that size should not be using 10 lbs. Note I am using Japanese lines at 1 gou.
Daiwa and shimano needs to step up the game. Glad newer companies are coming out. More competition = Consumers win.
I think if Shimano or Daiwa makes a reel like this.. All aluminum... It be so cool!

Maybe on a bfs setup, I'm throwing 10 gram lures and very hard... That would be bad
How long do you make your leader?

@@rawrfishing ok so will 2 ft work
Should be okay :)
