    Wish I would have seen this video in 2018 when I bought my machine. I have so many stabilizers, some the same of different brands, and I always feel like I don't have what I need. Now I know...less is more!

    I have been going back in time to watch some of your videos - I so could have done with watching this one a year earlier. It has taught me to keep calm, get the three different types of stabiliser and save some money. Thank you for your great tips. Now to go to part 2!

    Hi
    I'm new to embroidery. I have a brother machine which takes a 4 x 4 hoop. Can you tell me where I can purchase designs like the ones you are using. They look stunning and you explain everything so well, I would like to try a cushion

    Thanks for another great video. Good to go over the basics - products change and you can get stuck in a rut, using the same old things. I've never used household items, but have heard people suggesting dryer sheets, coffee filters, clear food wraps, etc. Always scared me too much to try them.

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  6 лет назад +1

      you were right to be scared! everyone thinks it's a great shortcut, but if it is not made for embroidery machines, you may mess up your machine! I have heard horror stories of people using plastic wrap, and then paying a fortune for a tech to clean out all of the little pieces that get punched out in every stitch - they have to go somewhere, and that place is inside your machine. can you imagine that mess? No thank you.

    On the Wash Away, I use it for Towels, topping. I was trained even for Pique Polos and Fuzzy Fleece, topping. I do use it for Beanies too. A Lot of extra work, spraying with water to remove.

      I don't use it that much at all...I use WSS for ITH designs and FSL.

    I'm so happy you just use a few stabilizers! It gets so confusing with all of the options!

      yep - we don't have a whole lot to pick from around here, so I keep it simple. and it works!

    I just wanted to share my near disaster today, I used WSS the one that looks more like fabric to make the large pieced kreative Kiwi teddy with the balloon. . It looked like it needed a little press to make it look crisp and it started to shrivel , all the edges were a mess. I tried on another item and it shrank too but I wet it and it was much better. So I put teddy in the washing machine for a short wash and no powder just to get rid of all the WSS and it came out lovely. I hope this info helps someone too.

    bonjour, pouvez vous s'il vous plait donner les noms des stabilisateurs, j'ai beaucoup apprécié votre vidéo et j'espère qu'il y en aura beaucoup d'autres, je me rends compte que sur kréative kiwi, j'ai beaucoup appris et les désigns sont magnifiques et surtout bien expliqués pour la néophyte que je suis, merci beaucoup

    What do you use for topper for towels?

    • @cherylduvall4714
      @cherylduvall4714 6 лет назад

      OML Embroidery Thank you for answering. It gets confusing, I did towels without the WSS before I watched videos. Every time I start to do project my mind gets boggled and it takes the fun out of it. I am enjoying your wisdom!
